Presumably for that money they'll want a 4 year deal. So if he has plans to get out after 2 years someone is still going to need a big outlay. And it'll have to be someone good enough to give him say 15-20 goals a season. And it'd then still need 3 seasons at that middle range to beat the record.
After nicking our star talent, Bristol City have lost theirs to Bournemouth, though for a lot more money. They seem to be pretty good at selling on for decent fees, so hopefully they can successfully develop Anis - currently he is a benchwarmer.
Hopefully he starts getting in the league team as a starter off the back of it. He is behind the chap who scored on opening day as a wide left forward currently (Bell, I think it is), and that goal did not help Mehmeti's cause.
Maguire will do fine at West Ham under Moyes as they are a deep defensive line side that means he wont get exposed as he did when Man U changed style to a much higher line. He has the truning circle of an oil tanker & the pace of a three legged dog in treacle.
@mooneyman don't disagree; Rice is going have to produce world class performances every game to justify that price tag, plus I think on balance Caicedo is the more complete midfielder with many comparing him to a young Kante.
Rice could be there for a decade, steadying the defence and creating, if he is that and keeps them at the business end of the league and in Europe it is almost priceless but there's no guarantees. Haven't seen much from Caceido at all other than Chelsea's supposed interest to put him anywhere near that price bracket.

Will certainly be interesting won't it.

Played 90 mins when they stuffed the pox in the cup in midweek, lots of involvement by look of BBC report.

Mickey Bell's son grrr

Love the precise scientific measurements!
We should have a "turning circle" scale at some point.
WTF?
How in anyone's worst drug or alcohol fueled dreams is Moises Caicedo worth £111m?
Liverpool have been Saudified.
You could say the same about Arsenal paying £105m for Rice. From what I've seen, Caicedo is a better player.

These 100m feed for defensive type mids are just horrific.
Looks like Chelsea might steal this one to have a combo of 100m mids!
Scott Twine looks to be on a downward trajectory likely to be loaned out to Hull.
anything is an upward trajectory after Franchise.
Brace yourself. Media reports say that Chelsea are going to offer more
Do they actually print money there?? Have bought who they like regardless of situation or owner for more than a decade. Dodge.
JWP set-piece, slabhead header is going to be the source of a lot of West Ham goals
Somebody on the internet said that if Bayern can register Kane tonight he could win his first silverware tomorrow in the German SupeCup
Arf.
James Trafford conceded the first goal of his career to Garath McCleary. Two years later and he's picking a Haaland shot out the back of the net.
I thought they'd put a stop to this buying tonne after tonne of players for 90-100m and whopping them on stupidly long contracts?
Quite difficult to get interested in the Premier League this season isn’t it?
The whole City thing is unfortunate, but I could never not be interested in football this good (the league as a whole).
Just ignore City and it's still worthwhile.
I wonder if the Premier league powers that be sit in meetings discussing those 100 charges and what was the point of bringing them.
All the more awkward that the charges came in a season bought...er...won the treble.
So just ignore the "title race"? What's the attraction of the rest of it?
I've avidly watched the PL in the past but it's hugely overrated as a product nowadays.
Kenilworth Road alone makes this season's Prem worth watching
The race for 4th and the race for relegation are what we have left. Oh, and the race for the Europa Conference League.
I thought my drug and alcohol fuelled dreams were bad. But if you are dreaming about Premier League transfer fees you really are beyond help
Three minutes added at the end of the first half at Arsenal. Order restored.
