MB may overuse the phrase 'most certainly so', but he generally comes across as an intelligent, articulate speaker, who can string together a coherent sentence.
Unlike many footballers and football managers I've seen interviewed, whose bland grunting monotone includes 'obviously' every tenth word.
We’ve all known for years that Matt B is intelligent, articulate and personable. He is also (or at least has been) involved for some time in journalism and punditry.
I’ve had the pleasure of knowing Matt for many years and I’m pretty confident that he would see the funny side to this particular game of bingo. He’s an affable character who doesn’t easily take offence.
I can't wait for the bemused expressions from visiting fans when the Matt Bloomfield 'Most Certainly So' banner is unveiled by the 1887 in the home terrace.
I am toying with the production of a limited edition MCS t-shirt.
Available exclusively to Gasroom contributors. It will be dark blue with big light blue slogan. In XL only. They would be around the Twenty quid mark, minimal profit going to the club Trust.
I was thinking more of the ‘bit’ all over the place. To be fair, I’ve heard established commentators use the expression but I always thought you were either all over the place or not. Degrees surely don’t come into it. But, without the ‘bit’, it’s even harder to understand how that could have been meant as a positive.
One of the worst misuses of comparative words intended to convey the degree (or extent) of something is “we’ll help you out as best we can.” There are no degrees of ‘best’. Correct usage (or at least the pedantic version) is “…as well as we can” (or, even better, “we’ll do our best for you”) but “as best we can” is so commonplace nowadays that I’d better just get over it ! 🤓

Remember when a few stories came out that Adams was labelling players in training as Henry, Bergkamp etc.
You can imagine the bemused expressions.
@micra...the metrosexual hipster of South Bucks
That’s me, mate.
I did catch one “most certainly so” from MB yesterday. There may have been more.

It’s just a game, @bargepole !

There are no doubts on that score.
I don't want MB to know we are on to his catchphrase, lest he become self conscious and stop using it.

Most certainly so
2️⃣. The Shots post match interview at 3.03 mins in, a delightful double MCS from The Gaffer seals another hard working pre season day on the road.
Three minutes after kickoff seems an odd time for a post match interview.
Aah, I see what you mean.
You know Phil's questioning has hit to the nub of the matter when a double 'MCS' is triggered.
Another three (at least) talking about Joe Jacobson on Wycombe Sound right now.
3️⃣ season shaping up nicely.
Was it me or did Richard Thomas let slip a 'Most certainly so' in interview after Wealdstone and had a little chuckle before pressing on @bluntphil ?
The Gasroom influence marches on.

Would there be sufficient interest to proceed?
I'd be interested if you could do an exclusive run in size M 😅
Do it on https://teespring.com - no initial outlay, printed on demand, decent quality
Ah yeah, I used them for the 1.74 Mind t-shirts I did a while back.
I think Teemill also does print to order - they're decent too
Show off...
In fairness, I'm starting to push the limits of M these days
In fairness, medium for a footy shirt is pretty roomy. I reckon I could get a friend in there with me!
Goodness knows what the XXXL are like.
I found the O'Neills sizing a bit all over the place - I definitely got away with a small in the early ones 😂
Never understood how anything can be a bit all over the place.
I came off the pitch after my team were battered but I'd done fairly well to be told I was "all over the place" by an opponent.
He meant it in a positive!

Better betterings best and bestest.
Plenty of degrees there.
Don't anyone even think about saying bestie anywhere near @micra
