Thanks for the reply. Not sure it’s answering what I meant as the way I read this it was a ‘username’ openly defaming identifiable people.
I am curious as to whether it is legally possible to defame/libel someone who exists and comments as an online persona (ie me/you/Chas/anyone) separate from who they may or may not be in real life.
(And sorry @Blue_since_1990 - I don’t mean to extend the debate too long I am just genuinely curious)
Just a heads up, tickets selling v fast anticipating Bargy showing up as suggested at the London pub get together in a couple of weeks. Might get tasty a few pints in.
You're either a truly masterful troll, or a truly embarassing little man-child.
I reckon its the latter. You've only been here a couple of months, and you've wound yourself up into having the most legendary Gasroom meltdown in history. It will remain folklore for a long time.
I admire Bargepole for his choice of football team, the openness of his season ticket location, and his knowledge of the law, but if he suddenly appeared from nowhere into my forum, spouting his Daily Mail rhetoric, having the bare-faced cheek to openly attempt to buy his way into the covid waiver refund party, promoting Cotton Traders and upsetting proper football fans, I'd say "Oi, Bargepole, nooooooo...!!!"
GasMan said that this particular "A Trialist" is thought to be Joe Low of Bristol City.
A scan of the BCFC forum indeed suggests that Joe Low has been absent from their pre-season squad (although of course that doesn't prove that it's us he's linked with):
I feel that, now more than ever, the world could do with the long-overdue revival of the SMBU/Brownie classic image, "Relax - it's just an internet message board" - any chance of it, @oilysailor ?
Comments
let’s get back to the thread and leave this behind us please. Pretty boring and not for the Gasroom.
Dance-off
Seems like I’ve missed all the fun eh? Anyway, Chris Forino isn’t playing in the first half of the Arsenal friendly.

Or the second half.
Careful, he might sue you for saying things like that.
Could this thread be closed now please
I don't think so - it might be needed as evidence in court
At least make another thread - title legal actions or something like that.
1-0 good guys in the end. A Mellor headed from a Pattenden cross. Long May it continue.
I think he signed for Charlton.
"Piss soaked chinos" has already been recorded as the leading line in the case against.
I think this is the trialist CB who started the game.

Again.

Bargepole vs Harps (2023), Crown Court, ECHR, Braverman/Raab inc.
Personally, I’ve found this rumpus far more exciting than the first 980 posts.
I feel like I am one of these two...

All here for signing players with rhyming names
I hope its a very deep rabbit hole that doesn't have Internet access!
Not convinced the tattoos match but that could just be because the still from the clip isn't great quality.
Didn't she used to be a singer?
Interpol have a "Can you identify these items of clothing that will help us in our investigations" page. I'm sure I saw that first photo on there.
nah, don't be fooled by the rocks that she's got
How can a Gasroomer suing a Gasroomer during Gasroom Summer be boring?😉
On closer inspection it definitely is him.

Just think, if this happened a week ago, it would have been the most action we'd have seen all transfer window!
If he signs, then Row could end up with a good song in his name.
