Everyone gets stick on here @Otter87 (even I have been downvoted and I'm lovely) and often no-one answers their perfectly reasonable questions either.
Everyone keep on giving opinions. Don't let lefty righty wokey nazi Sparties whose sad, keyboard warrior, wouldn't say that to my face opinions don't bother you - bother you, I say!
(Pssst! What is the group view? Often just looks like some people agree and other people don't but if there is a club I want in...those downvotes really get on my nerves.)
I prefer new kid on the block to Johnny come lately.
But whichever, '... there will be more joy in heaven over one sinner who repents than over ninety-nine righteous persons who need no repentance'' (Luke, 15:7). As a former Wasps fan now fully engaged with WWFC, I'd expect some people on here to be happier.
This has taken quotes from the BFP, who took quotes from unsubstantiated rumours on Twitter. I am hoping we are in for him, but the BFP is not a reliable source.
It does smack off 3-5-2 or some variation thereof.
A front two of Vokes and McCleary could work well. Big Sam to lead the line and Gareth given free rein to play off him and provide the movement. We’d then have TJay or Hanlan in reserve which is pretty good
Then a midfield three of Leahy, Scowen and Breckin/Wheeler, with Ward and Young to come through
Two of Boyes, McCarthy or Vincent-Young as wing backs with Pattenden and Woodhouse to come through.
And 3 of JJ, Grimmer, Taf, Keogh and Forino (maybe) to make up a back three.
If we can bring in a back up GK and a striker then that might be us done.
Leaving us free to snaffle up a couple of young rough diamonds cast offs from Premier League teams late on, without then being the make or break for the squad.
MB and the recruitment team from zeros to heros (almost) in a week.

I thought it was well known that anyone who ever mentions the up and down votes automatically gets a thumbs down for ever more.

… oh damn!!

All of my thumbs down have come from shocking posters out of their bourgeois complacency.
Will everyone stop mentioning the thumbs, we all know what will happen!
Oh fudge....

Barges by constantly giving your seat number out and offering to buy people drinks, do you lack friends or struggle in relationships ?
Have you tried Tinder or Grinder ? I'm sure there are many suitable people who would like your company.
Obnoxious ex slum Lord and Wasps fan seeks like minded vermin.
Happy? You are new to the gasroom.
That is uncalled for Chas, you’re better than that.
Is @ChasHarps still the reigning Gasroom poster of the year?
We are supposedly interested in Kane Vincent Young who has left Ipswich this summer. A right back I believe.
NEW SIGNING KLAXON
Not cool dude....
Another transfer being announced and its Kane Vincent-Young
😏
Stryjek
Grimmer
Forino
Taffs
Boyes
Scowen
Leahy
Breckin
Vincent-Young
McCleary
Vokes
Subs: Wheeler, JJ, McCarthy, Hanlan, Ward, Young (+GK)
I may be sticking Kane a little too far forward there, but who cares? I just want to see all the new signings on the same team sheet!
That’s not what I’m talking about is it?
keogh not even making bench??
i wonder if Jason McCarthy is going to be leaving?
Poor Keogh - I'd already forgotten about him! A huge mistake, given our revolving injury door at CB.
Maybe we're plumping with a 352? Good way to get everyone in
Possibly. There are those who say that he can neither control or cross the ball.
His boundless energy and enthusiasm are quite an asset though and I’ve seen worse crossers.
MB comments on the signing announcement focusing on KVY attacking prowess suggests 352 may well be the plan.
can McCleary play as one of the two?
3-5-2 would certainly suit JJ, Grimmer and McCarthy, all of whom can slot in if the big 3 specialist centre backs are out.
On another note, have we ever fielded a back 3 with more aerial power than those guys?

Apparently we are in for Sam Smith too.

Pretty good that.
How are we doing in terms of available spaces in the squad?
As I posted elsewhere (wrong thread)

JJ
Boyes
Scowen
Leahy
GMac
Vokes
Hanlan
Subs
GK
JMac
Keogh
Breckin

Forino to QPR?
All quite exciting isn't it? Seems rare to have such a busy pre-season before a ball is kicked! Blooms-ball.
