Really disappointing but pretty inevitable when we lost Mehmeti and about 4 others in January and replaced them with nobody. Vokes injury definitely didn’t help us. We were always clutching at straws. And to top it all off we lost all of our coaching staff at the pivotal point. Good effort this season. Time to see what the development lads are like.
In many ways, that game epitomises how we’ve been under Bloomfield. Decent passing football and we controlled much of the game, but very little threat going forwards and no real sense that we ever had a second gear to move into, or more than one way to approach the game.
I’m fully behind Bloomfield for next season and I hope he can use this off-season to shake up the squad to bring in players that suit his style a little more. I’m optimistic for the future, but this season unfortunately feels like it was destined not to work out right from the injury crisis and goalkeeping dilemma at the start.
So many frustrating aspects and so many frustrating players that just didn’t click. Pretty much 1-11 almost had good games but didn’t do well enough at key points. Campbell is almost a really good player, JJ had so many assured moments but fecked up for goal. And the same can be said for pretty much all the players. Hanlan and Tjay were probably the only poor performances everyone else just mneh
FWIW I am also right behind MB for next season - not one of the bedwetters on social media who are asking for him to be sacked. However I am very confident that Gaz and Dobbo would have had this squad comfortably in the top 6 right now. Ho hum - time to look forward to the summer.
Pretty football with no urgency or cutting edge, we've definitely lost something somewhere the last few weeks or more, though we did look better when Vokes and Gmac came on, surely everyone can see we need a new left back now ?
Also, please never get him back on co comms.. was almost as bad as the result !!
It feels pure rookie management at the moment, playing more footy, as that's what we'd all do and want too, but without the key elements of the game that guarantee you the wins.
I'm sure the Couhigs have a few baseball bats lying around from when they owned the New Orleans Zephyrs.. Maybe they can lend us a few and we can destroy that supercomputer that said we'd end this season as champions.

I love JJ, but my god he’s been shown up today. Tactical masterclass from Derek Adams TBF.
Season over. Hope we have the money to compete again next season.
Beat me to it, at least we get a new road to look fwd to
Morecambe have fought hard for this today and tactically played it just right.
I logged off as soon as that goal went in. Hope I haven’t missed two added time Wycombe goals. It happened to AFC Wimbledon a few days ago.
Oh, and did someone say Al-Hanadi had scored?
Ha
What a load of old cobblers
When I said Ainsworth might be back soon, I didn't mean this season...
QPR 0 Coventry 3
Today's Status: BUM
Don't...
I'm trying not to put the screen in listening to what @ReturnToSenda would refer to as a "nauseatingly" positive co-commenter.
That guy turning up would be too much.
Watches us not come particularly close to scoring for 90mins, then concede
"well, ya-now...we'll go and score 2"
grrr
The Bloomfield Saturday curse continues. As of today our season. Is over . Wish Kevin would shut up on commentary
I'd have Dobbo back in a shot with Blooms as his assistant.
Awful stuff. Season finished.
But....but....is it mathematically over??

We are 5 points off - I am not convinced we will even get 5 points from our last 4 games.

Sadly, no. I yearn for mathematical certainty.
Argh, Bristol Rovers equalize late against Derby. We would have been right there...

We had 20 shots, sigh.

Why the heck would you not just have Ainsworth with Dobbo?!
Matt will do fine. GA is gone and good luck to him!!
Alright Kevin, quieten down.
"Well, I know we need to win all 4 games, by 73 goals, and hope 4 other teams lose 8-0 each, but you-now, i think we'll gan-darn do it you-now"

I was being facetious, although less so than when I made the same comment the other week...
Was the a typo for ‘high’ ?
