I don't remember the atmosphere being particularly special in the 90s. Some of the best in my 40+ years was (unsurprisingly) during THAT cup run, especially against Wolves and against Wimbledon, home and away. I'd say recent years have been the best it's ever been, although I rarely get to home games and I know it's dropped off lately. As for the drummer, he reminds me of MCs that never know when to give it a rest. He needs to learn that less is more. Can't he take lessons from the original drummer?
I was more getting at the fact we lost our manager and two of our best players, which naturally sucked a lot of the optimism out of the season. Not to mention performance levels have (expectedly) dipped.
Two drummers together in concert at Accrington on the away terrace produced a fine atmosphere, although owing to Valentines night, and other reasons, there were not so many there to appreciate it.

Also worth remembering that one of the best atmospheres we’ve ever had at AP was less than a year ago.
We haven't had a whole lot to cheer about the last couple of months, hardly a surprise the atmosphere has evaporated.
No competent drum definitely hinders it. It’s been many years since that was the case though.
Our record in the last couple of months is W6 D3 L4, not exactly relegation form.

The club offered lessons, and he declined.
Thinking about the noise at the end of the Wolves game still gives me goosebumps. I've never known anything like it.

That's pretty tragic
Maybe the club needs a full drum line, not just a drummer. We do have American owners, after all!
