André Tjay De Barr (showing off that I’ve just discovered his first name!) is two years older than Al-Hamadi, has played quite a few more games for Wycombe and, in my opinion, has shown very little to get excited about beyond incredible energy and ground coverage. Not to mention the Ainsworth style running through defenders rather than circumventing them.
I hope he gives me reason to enthuse but I’m not holding my breast.
As others have said, Al-Hamadi never really showed, albeit in limited appearances, that he should be a regular starter for us. Gareth is better qualified than all of us (except perhaps @trevor) and he decided that AAH was surplus to requirementsu or as @floyd says, he may have just wanted to leave to get regular games.
I was going to use Curtis as an example of how we have benefited the other way round, but didn't have time to post at the time, also see Guppy and Gape from Southampton, Mehmeti from Norwich, you could even say Bloomfield, Ipswich didn't fancy him at all, but played the rest of his career out here ! plenty of examples. I also wasn't surprised or worried to see AAH go, as I said earlier, it happens, sometimes it goes for you, sometimes it doesn't.
Personally I thought it was a real shame that Anthony got booed today. I can remember him giving amazing performances for us and was a major contributor to our Wembley win against the PNLs.
probably, but it was totally without class & as others have mentioned, it just served to fan the flames. I wouldn't have been amazed if it didn't come back & bite us. I would definitley have him back if it was possible.
Interesting interview by Anis Memeti to be found on utube, lasts for fifteen minutes covering his football career so far. Also covers his family ties, motivations and his international debut for Albania. Well worth a listen.
Tbh I thought the booing of Anthony was a bit tongue in cheek, beginning of the 2nd half as he was taking a throw in he started getting it, but he gave the crowd a smile, and the booing turned into a very warm applause
Not impressed with the constant booing directed towards Anthony today, but the "Stewart Stewart you're a c**t" chant from the terrace was a step too far in my opinion.
@HolmerBlue: I’ve long believed that the majority of downthumbing is a purely personal thing. If it’s followed by constructive criticism or counterargument, fair enough. But unless it is (and in my experience it never seems to be) it is pointless. I check my points total occasionally and provided I’m in credit, I’m as happy as a Sands boy.
And proof of the accuracy of my theory swiftly appeared in response to your query. Nowt so queer as folk. Ask @Wendoverman !

We seem to be ignoring the possibility that he wanted to go to Wimbledon and we honoured his request.

Either a magnificent autocorrect or you're at it again 😂
Must be the infamous eye! At it again?
Hopefully Mrs micra is holding you "breast"!

Lincoln fans said Keith Scott was shit.
Some players just need a change of scenery and sometimes they find a manager and team and it all just suddenly clicks. I'm pleased for him.
O’Nien playing at Centre Back tonight for Sunderland at Burnley
It's more than a possibility, he didn't have to sign the contract there.
Don’t boo Anthony Stewart. Ffs.
Agreed. Although it is very starve watching Tools against us at AP.
Styche with his first goal for Matlock today

Yep. I didn't go as far as cheer him, but certainly no reason to boo him.
Although in the Frank Adams it sounded very low level and half hearted.
Agree I felt it was very sad for him and the club. I assume it will be 'Shaddap Grandad it's just bantz.' @EwanHoosaami
Must admit I hadn't even realised he was playing until a few mins in, as my foot mob scores app didn't have him in their back 3.
A closer look suggested he was right wing back!
I saw that on the BBC and thought...interesting...then it changed and I thought I had dreamed it. Thanks @Malone

Malachi Linton comes on for Yeovil 2nd half and within 5 minutes gets a yellow!

I'll take your word for @HolmerBlue it but it didn't sound like that to me or anyone round me from our perches. Hope he saw it that way.
I thought the clapping from the Family Stand was a response to counter the boo boys behind the goal, which was heart warming.
Why would anyone down thumb this ?odd people
Maybe from someone going puce raging at him?😀
Although anyone raging at Stewart when Lewington is available needs to have a hard look at themselves.
I always check Gillingham's results to see how Kashket is doing and the below explains his position. Injury ruining his 2023 so far.

Hopefully he can turn it round there when fit, or find a move to kickstart his goalscoring run.
He should be a real goal scoring monster in the right setup in league 2.

In any decent, mature person’s opinion.

It has been mentioned before, but it's still a little amazing that 09 has taken off as a CB.
Graham Potter fired as Chelsea boss.
