So glad this photo has been put on the club Twitter. To me it is everything Wycombe. Blooms face is joy, release, redemption, football. I well up every time I see this image.
That is a really good question. I think Scowen, Forino and Wing are the three I could most see either leaving at contract end or being bought (the latter two are still under contract, correct?). I am not too worried about anyone else.
Regardless of where GA is, Scowen will be a target for many - not just QPR. Don't think it makes a difference.
What's to say we don't replace him with Col U's best player?
It's a transitional period for us - it was always going to be. I'm quite excited for the rest of the season. MB has a job on his hands - if he gets us promoted.......wow.
Something not mentioned yet - we go from a manager with scraggly long hair to one with the most immaculate short, almost military-style haircut possible.
More than anything, I am not sure I can get over this transition.
I'll be interested to see whether Bloomfield gets the team playing the dark arts again - as an individual I can't imagine it's his personal preference, he seems more cultured (though perhaps that's the hair speaking as @Shev mentions). Then again he was such an enthusiastic proponent as a player... was that just leading from the front as captain, doing what he'd been told by his gaffer... Or does he believe in it himself...?
Might be a hard sell to the QPR fans bringing Scowen back. Seem to remember it ended quite badly for him there and he wasn't popular with their fans at all.
I would be more worried about Wing & Forino than Scowen going to QPR or A.N.Other Champ club if we do not manage to win promotion, if we do somehow get promoted then I think they will be happy to stay on & give the club the chance to stay up.
I think that’s fair but at least Wing & Forino are under contract for next season (I think) so we can always say no or set a fee. Whereas Josh moves for free.
Looking ahead to Saturday, Matt has largely employed a 3-4-1-2 formation of late for Colchester.
So not a million miles from what we saw for much of Saturday, albeit with us going man-for-man across the midfield meaning that Wheeler, Obita, McCleary and Hanlan were all over the place at times.

You know the Wild Thing flag behind the dugout, is anyone interested in getting a Mr Wycombe replacement flag sorted out through the Gasroom?
Cant believe what this season has brought.
Ah, this is why @Right_in_the_Middle@ReturnToSenda asked if it was time for a change of manager last autumn after we lost three matches 😉
edit..ritm was a typo sorry

Do we think there was a release clause in Blooms' contract? I can't imagine we would have paid compensation...
I think we'd have got a healthy bit of compensation from QPR
We’re still not getting new toilets
With a number of players out of contract at the end of the season, I wonder how many could end up at QPR. Scowen will definitely be there.

Scowen is 30 next month, which might count in our favour. Don't forget, Gaz and Dobbo won't have absolute control over transfers there.
I need to go to bed... I'm getting too emotional and too frustrated with the what ifs....
I'm signing off.
What a day.
Night night everyone 😴
Good point!

If Scowen does go, we need to get Curtis Thompson to stay (and keep him fit).
He showed in the Championship season that he’s good enough to operate at that level and is the ideal replacement.
He will be, but his age gives us a bit of hope
Scowen is a wonder player for us. But he’s had a bumpy ride. He’s hopefully handsomely compensated. And he’s hopefully really happy.
I’m (quietly) confident he’ll stay

Hopefully he'll do wonders with what he has there, instead of raiding us.
Bloomfield doesn't half have a tough job with all the out of contract decisions though, but first things first Shrewsbury away!
Almost Stonebridge style convention hair. What car does he drive? What music does he listen to? I’m sure @bluntphil is on the case.
It would be hilarious if Blooms is a classical nut and we end up walking out to Beethoven or Mozart every other week.
It's going to be so weird having a tracksuit manager again
So we’re not flush with cash then.
Pretty bog standard request if you ask me....
We're on a roll......

Club shop must come out with a range of male grooming products. Dapper Dan waxes and oils for the loyal fans.

Whatever the rest of this season and beyond holds, we have the right man in charge on the pitch.
Watching him play literally hundreds of games for us, it is obvious Matt knows the value of hard work, discipline and tactical quality.
I’m sure he will be a fantastic manger and I cannot wait to watch his first game in charge.
Anyone else curious to know if Lee Harrison will return and if Horgan might get called back?
