Quite. I headed to the Charters with my Posh supporting friend after the game and he was thoroughly disillusioned with it all. He said that after we went ahead he was confident there'd be no way back for them and it's been like that since early November. He was very complimentary about our performance and general approach too. So many fans of other clubs would do anything for the stability and success that we have.
Apparently he quit in the Championship, he wasn't sacked but can't help thinking that's related to unrealistic expectations, could probably have given him more to spend to try keep them there rather than all the associated recruitment merry go round though.
The bookies had them down as pre-season favourites, which probably didn’t help the situation. I can imagine the expectations of everyone associated with their club increased. Perhaps the added pressure got to their players?
I wonder if Fergie even bothers clearing out his desk when he gets fired, or if they just give him a permanent office so he does not have to keep packing and unpacking.
Jim Gannon was in his second spell at Stockport when he had the “show us your medals” and “that goal changes nothing” saga with Lambert. I’m sure he went back again more recently, unless it was in a ‘director of football’ role. Doesn’t beat Martin Allen though.

Darren Ferguson must be richer from those Posh payoffs than the actual times he is paid to manage!
I wonder if he and Martin Allen ever get together and discuss the nature of on-again, off-again relationships.

Jimmy Sirrel had a few spells at Notts County, if I remember correctly. And Wanker Westley seem to manage Stevenage a number of times.
I wonder what is the record for a manager to have different spells in the hot seat at the same club?
Tony Parkes? caretaker at Blackburn every couple of years for decades. 6 times and once for luck at Blackpool apparently.
Martin Allen at Barnet? He went back a few times didn't he?

Seem to remember Sergio Torres saying he spent most of his time behind a computer screen. Didn’t seem to think much of him.
Fatih Terim must be 4 or 5 goes at Galatasaray
Martin Allen is a good shout in England

John Sheridan was manager of Oldham Athletic six times, the first two times as caretaker.
John 'F*****g' Sheridan
Which was his 6th spell?
Wiki has it as 5?
https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_Sheridan_(footballer)

I'm counting six on the Wiki page, last one 2022.
I imagine hIs sixth spell was 'Scourgify', given Oldham's crest.
Right you are, I was obviously a bit half assed in my counting, fuelled by that probably out of date article talking 5!
