Steady on, guys. I’m completely with you but genuinely concerned that, in addition to Mehmeti and Mawson, he could be on the radar of one or two bigger clubs.
Parsons was a bit of a pantomime villain when he played against us for Slough, but my last memory of him was when he was in goal for Wokingham against us at Finchampstead rd in 86/87. We had gone 1up late on, in a tight game. Some jubilant Wycombe fans started setting off those fireworks where they hit the ground and then fizz off again. One of them went through Parsons legs, and he went down claiming it had burnt the inside of his legs. The Physio had to come on to treat the original 'Fat Frank', and he got very little sympathy from the Wanderers followers behind the goal.
Agree with everything that has been said about MOM contenders, but Josh gets my vote for sheer consistency of performance. He never put a foot wrong, a Championship player if ever I saw one.
I agree. He is expected to pick out Wheels out wide or Vokes down the centre and land the ball on their head from half a pitch away, and most of the time he does just that. Find of the season for me.
To be fair Nathan Bishop was/is a highly rated young keeper who did very well for Mansfield last season and seemed like a good loan signing, but the story of why we didn’t get him is well known by now. The story I heard about Max - and I haven’t verified it - is that he was recommended to our then keeper coach Lee Harrison by Gary Holt who played for Wycombe 2007-9.
What a superb day out!! I voted Wing last night for his all round performance and of course 2 fantastic goals.
Having slept on it I think Taf runs him close for completely dominating Clarke- Harris. His goal, overdue as it was, came at a vital time effectively taking away any belief Posh had left.
Grimmer was really good again as were all the rest really. Finally for me it was good to see JJ back to his best.
Family and work take over for me during January maybe able to sneak away for the Oxford game. COYB
Well we owe Gary Holt a beer then. I think all of us were a bit surprised to see our pursuit of the hot prospect from United was replaced by a guy who was a Sunderland but barely got a game so headed to Livingstone.
The 93 votes (as I write) just passed Portmouth (H)'s 90 for most of the season, but still short of the record. The four matches with a higher vote total are below, all from last season. However, you will notice they were all home games, which tend to generate more votes. We had never crossed 82 for an away game before, so the away record has been absolutely smashed!
People need to play, even a run of 10-12 games in proper football can split plodding youth teamers from genuinely good prospects, think he was fairly highly rated up there and they had been expecting him to leave, maybe someone else's interest wained. I'd Imagine the management get lots of very selective videos from agents but it's not the same at all.
Max has an almost supernatural ability to be stood exactly where the shot is going to go - don't think I've ever seen a keeper face so many shots that just go straight into their waiting arms.

Max's kicking has got noticeably better as the season has gone on anyway.

So who found him? Still don’t know after seeing him play for a half a season why he wasn’t our first choice recruit for the number 1 shirt.

Gary Holt was a great player, would probably make my all time Wycombe starting 11. Only players that I have seen play allowed.
Your saying that because he played for Forest aren’t you !
Just when you thought you'd seen it all

@Shev
Votes are heading in to the 90’s, have we had a game with more MOTM votes?

Thanks Shev.
If we get a result against Wednesday then I expect the record will be broken.

Hope we can hold on to him for at least a couple of seasons.
