He really isn't, even if he has a squeaky voice, knows a lot about players in the league and picked up a few tactical bits already, they're on radio so are speaking more than you need on TV but all good.
Not the worse 45, was a bit earlier when they were using Wing a lot that promised, not quite joined up some of the flick ons and longer bits , Vokes probably on soon likely (well 75 rather than 85 mins). If we slumber in the 2nd half we'll get stuffed but it's fairly even right now.
Happy to be corrected but I think Lincoln are unbeaten in 9 at home, so overall a decent score and start to take into half time and looks as though we are growing into the match.
No longer attacking the ‘Emblen End’ but hoping for another memorable finish to the game
He’s perhaps not best suited to commentary but his EFL knowledge is second to none. His insights via social media are incredibly impressive and not just based on a few highlights here or there like most “experts”.
I'm pretty sure he could name every player and their position in all 72 EFL squads.
I think we’ve had a solid start here. Perhaps even deserve to be ahead. A few small errors in our own third (Tafazolli - who has been very good otherwise), but we look good. Gut feeling suggests Vokes could suit this game, but I’m sure we’ll see him on sooner or later.
Back to the football, that first half was dire. A real return to our performance against Cheltenham. OK, maybe a little less direct (due to Vokes being off the pitch).
Two fairly evenly matched teams lacking in creativity so far. Fingers crossed for a better second half. Front 3 really need to get into the game.
Aside from the football and the co-comms the thing that's struck me most is how many big brands are advertising on Lincoln's LED hoardings. There's a smattering of local firms but lots seem to be national brands, something we don't see much of at Wycombe. For all the talk of being £3m in the red I've always wondered whether we've done enough to exploit commercial advertising opportunities, particularly with national brands. Not sure if it's all done in-house or not but I expected to see more of it under the Couhigs.

I wouldn’t stand like that in the snow
Gargoyle unexpectedly steps on piece of lego
Cold enough to freeze the balls off a brass imp
One legged gargoyle carrying a fish...
Unchanged XI seems a good idea, would be great to get a win here and start something rolling again.
Pleased we’re unchanged.
Energetic start. Lincoln look dangerous, but so do we.
We look solid but they are having the best of it
Agreed - I do hope we can get Hanlan better involved.
Think he just needs to run and run and will come off at some point
Not much cover for obita, all coming down that side
The co-commentator with Phil is awful, his voice is so grating.
A really lazy showing at the moment. Passing going astray all over the place. Hanlan not getting a chance. Can only get better
Think he's adding a nice bit of informed colour to it

Disagree. He’s knowledgeable and I would rather have an informed voice on co coms. What’s more grating is this showing. A really frustrating game
Gab is great, I’d have him and Phil every week.
Must admit I thought the exact same, but then realised it's a bit personal, and he's ok all in.
Knowledgeable except seemingly thinking Adams is still Plymouth's manager!

I'm sure we have a crack team of highly motivated staff relentlessly courting every big brand in the country on a weekly basis.
How did we not score there?
McCleary’s got to smash that
McCleary has again been poor. Ran into trouble the first half, and had the chance to shoot there, takes too much time and plays an awful pass.
A loss here would sum up the consistent inconsistency of our season.
Dear o lor he’s made some poor choices today. That was extraordinary
