You are correct. We were lucky enough to park very close to the ground in a small housing development. I would imagine that the natives have got a restriction on that by now. Literally a 3 minute walk to the ground. we were away within 10 minutes.
I enjoyed yesterday, was a bit of a throwback to nonleague days. Small ground, felt like as many Wycombe fans as home fans, all packed in a terrace close to the pitch
The walk down the steep hill after the game, definitely tighten your calfs. Stroud and Nailsworth town centre and pubs have a liberal bohemian feel about it. The ground certainly took you back to our non league days. The only ground I've visited, up as steep a hill than that is Tow Law Town. Unique setting, but don't think I will be rushing back, buses cancelled, almost impossible to get a taxi.
Can only echo what others have said, decent result yesterday, great GMac goal, Grimmer as good as I've seen for a while, and their guy should have been sent off for the foul on Josh. Looked like their player O'Keefe was eyeing up a new 'pantomime villain' role, trying to wind up JJ at every opportunity.
They'd sold out of the veggie burgers (which I had last time), so I tried a pasty. Nice curry flavour, £4 plus £1 for a drink, £8 altogether if you wanted chips as well.
Parking not that easy, seeing as the school car park just below the ground is now permit only, but managed to park by the roadside on the estate on the other side of the hill up to the ground. Bit of a wait to get down the hill afterwards, but otherwise all good.
Up to 3rd in the first half table and still in the relegation spots in the 2nd half table.
It is utterly insane that if a Wycombe fan had only been able to watch us in first halves, with no context, they would think "we are getting promoted automatically!" Whereas if that same fan only saw second halves, they would think we are heading for L2!
Not saying this to complain, just amazed at the continued contrast.
It can't be a money saving thing not bringing more subs on, as we were trying to utterly pointlessly bring Horgan on with 30secs of the 9 additional mins left.
So you wonder why in games like yesterday, with a stacked bench, where the game has totally gone to pot with the scuffle, we didn't just a couple more additional subs on with 20-25 to go.
Isn’t it obvious? GA has got so ingrained with the black arts period resulting in games lasting nearly 2 hours that he views a substitution at 70 minutes as being ‘early’ in the second half.
Shocking stuff, I don’t know how players and managers put up with it. I would have hoped for better from FGR but I guess the troglodytes are everywhere.
This is where the FA surely have to view the actual incident, and realise that douche Forest Green player utterly triggered the whole thing with a horrific challenge, and dish out punishments accordingly.
For us to get a fine out of it, and JJ inevitably get a 3 match ban is an utter farce.
Although, typical of JJ's character, even in putting his hands in the opponent's face from behind and shoving him to the floor was done in an almost polite, gentlemanly way!

A lovely afternoon

@ChasHarps Walked from the Oval tube station to Dulwich once, quite a hike up Denmark Hill and down Dog Kennel Hill, and back again after the game.

All in all, a very good day.

Do you think they sulk if they are taken off? Seems a bit silly in the modern era but genuinely struggle for reasons
I'd be raging if it triggered an appearance bonus
Wouldn't that have the opposite effect where they'd all be desperate to come on and constantly warning up right in front of the manager?
Have we talked about David Wheeler's movement in the box to get into position to score our first goal on saturday?
It was absolutely outstanding
This is...well, amazing. (might want to turn your speakers down)

Not for a 90 second appearance, that is the equivalent of daylight fireworks.
Although I have heard that that particular bonus is normally only triggered at 10 minutes so hope that is true across the board.
Do you mean you'd be annoyed to hear a player has received a bonus for a few mins.
Or do you mean if you were a player you'd be raging at being subbed and losing a full appearance bonus?
If I was the club accountant and saw that A.Player earned an appearance bonus for coming on for 30 seconds I would be pissed for sure.
I'd imagine that the club and GA are not that stupid to throw someone on for 30 seconds if it was damaging the club financially,
If it is the case, then I reckon ALL the subs are on bonus' if they come on before the 70th minute......
Now that would explain everything!
No. Go on..
I'd say Grimmers run into the box to take the defender away from what Mcleary was about to do is much more noteworthy
Not a bad shout - that really would!
He's been slow / reluctant to make subs for 10 years, surely can't be that as surely we'd have changed contract terms as we got a bit flusher.
True! It will likely remain a headscratcher.
Isn’t it obvious? GA has got so ingrained with the black arts period resulting in games lasting nearly 2 hours that he views a substitution at 70 minutes as being ‘early’ in the second half.
Love it! For some reason I think of GA with a magician's cape and a maniacal expression when dark arts are mentioned.

Even Vegans can throw rotten tomatoes!
Would the JJ incident end up as a ban or a monetary fine (or both) does anyone know? I assume the former, based on the Ans v 09 rumble last season?
3 match ban I reckon and a fine for the club.
This is where the FA surely have to view the actual incident, and realise that douche Forest Green player utterly triggered the whole thing with a horrific challenge, and dish out punishments accordingly.

Depending on what he did, it could involve a fine but it'll likely be a 3 match ban (or longer if the club try & fail to appeal against it).
The clubs are likely to get a large fine each for their part in the coming-together
