I thought we were presently in Plan B and everyone is saying: 'What is everyone doing? What happened to Plan A? We loved Plan A. Plan A worked for us...' etc etc😉
It always seems that the subs happen at very similar times throughout the games. Very rarely do we see a sub prior to the 69th minute even when losing. Also Horgan is forever being pulled off a first sub, which I’ve never got? I actually feel bad for him.
Astute observation. So if Plan A is "lump it to the big man" and the big man retires, Plan A is now Plan B or C and Plan B is now Plan A. If Plan C is good enough compared to the former Plan A, it can actually become the new Plan B while the old Plan A falls all the way to Plan C.
With three subs allowed, taking a player off at halftime was almost a shameful thing for the substituted individual (if not injury related or a significant change of shape) as it was an admission of a player being basically awful for the first half. With five subs however, I feel as though players should be on notice that the bar is set higher for staying on for the second half, and that halftime substitutes will happen routinely if someone has a subpar first half. Freeman for Wing could have happened at halftime quite justifiably (though I know it was not the actual change that took place later).
Barnsley tried a double substitution and a change in formation after an hour today, and from then on looked a shadow of the side they had been up to that point. Sometimes it's better not to change.

So that explains the confusion in how we are playing...

You get no points on here for appearing to be young
He's just read that off the Steps poster on his wall.
I'm running out of places where I could be regarded as young.
Try the Frank Adams upper just after we've conceded a goal
Big Yves display away at Oxford was one of the most ‘memorable’ in a Wycombe shirt.
It just wasn’t goalkeeping as we’ve come to know it.
