Lots of parallels with Trump...cabinet full of unpleasant sycophants completely ill-equipped for the jobs they were given...with the ones who gave him the benefit of the doubt until they raised serious issues resigning along the way. (Except for Brexit Ministers who all resigned when they realised they were out of their depth in an international **** show before they could get the blame!) The rumour is...seeing as she was getting good press...he gave Truss the Foreign office thinking she would be a disaster and ended up with a poundshop Maggie! I very much doubt history will prove he got anything 'done' in his political life...except lots of fun with Little Boris. We need an election...doubt Labour would win but air would be somewhat cleared.
Really is, because once you acknowledge that people being trafficked can be victims, sometimes several times over, and can also go onto be valued, successful and thoroughly decent members of the community with a bit of support then policies like the Rwanda shambles or asking RNLI not to intervene seem like the blood sucking nasty things they were designed to be.
Best not take a look at some of the Facebook group comments for this one. Didn't realise so much of the Boris Johnson focus group were terrace dwellers.
I understand that the perception in the 'Westminster Bubble' that he is dull and no-one knows who he is...is not borne out in the country at large. As I do not know the country at large any more than I know the man in the street, I cannot comment.
This is quite fun now if you set aside that they are mostly terrible people, look at the fight from those who attracted just one public backer (themselves) past those who have made tits of themselves, burnt bridges etc for no reason, up to those who thought they were a shoe in and will barely make the ballot. A large majority and rolling job opportunities might be good for their pride but hopefully this is just the first of a few ballots that show some eejits a bit of humility.
I think Labour are going to very much target Wycombe as a winnable seat at the next election. Hence why they chose the venue today. Steve Baker only holds a majority of 4000.
It's 71 years since anyone bar the Nasty Party has held office in the chair metropolis, and with Baker being unpopular with moderate Tories and his self serving agenda during his reign, and achieving and caring very little for the local community. I sense Brexit Baker could well topple.
I’m not a fan of the establishment calling themselves Sir this, lord that, dame washalot or widow twanky and us doing so will only encourage such reprehensible behaviour .
Mr is a perfectly respectful way of addressing someone and I shall keep to that.
As for using someone’s forename without permission well that’s an assumption of familiarity and the bane of our society.

But @Wendoverman! Tories and pundits on telly keep telling me that he got brexit done™.
And Oliver should know as he is one of the cheerleaders of the gammons
"But then if the new Chancellor is being investigated by HMRC , which he now runs..."
Strictly speaking, HMRC is not an agency of the Treasury but a Non-Ministerial Department. Not a good look, though, for the Chancellor.
I am trying not to think too hard about what the line “…except lots of fun with Little Boris,” actually means.
A none too subtle anatomical reference perhaps.
I can confirm not subtle at all.
A truly shocking article and programme from the BBC on Sir Mo.
Well worth a watch in my opinion

Tricky one for Priti Patel there. We don't want future Olympic champions and knights of the realm trafficked here.

I thought we had the left wing covered for next season?
i suppose he shows a versatility being able to switch to centre right easily.
Come to get some advice on developing a good team spirit from Gaz?
if he wanted a more Labour-friendly colour scheme, perhaps should have thought about sporting the new change kit
He managed to go a whole minute without saying "we need a change of government and a fresh start for Britain". I'm astonished.
He wants to take on the famous Blue Wall

'Naughty boys' like 'naughty boys'
No chance he’s a left winger. Centre or free roll at best.
Surely he is the safe pair of hands we need?
He'd just be following the ref around agreeing with all his worst decisions.
Decision making is too slow for my liking. Not even sure he’s that popular in the dressing room either.
