  • Well I know that's not true as I just red the first page.

Anyway Berry just signed so ....

  • If not to stay with Wycombe, then The King deserves far better than Hull or Luton

How on earth are we going to cram all these new players into our team? I suppose the formation will depend on whoever the next head coach is (or perhaps what chat gpt suggests) but I wonder if we start thinking about a 541 with a diamond midfield:

    Ravizzoli

    Grimmer Low Hagelskjær Bradley Harvie

    Westergaard

    Lowry Berry

    Humphreys

    Kone

And that team doesn't even include Scowen or Fred!! Maybe Fred goes back to right wing back, like during the Championship season?

  • We can definitely rotate really well now! Even with Sads out, Berry should be an able left-sided wide player. We should be able to see strong 90 minutes without missing a beat, and also rotate from Sat-Tues without a problem.

  • I don’t Lowry will be match fit for a while - very few games played this season

The weird thing about this season is that if we get promoted, it no longer feels "against the odds". Nothing wrong with that, and we all saw it coming eventually, but there are no excuses now (apart from the extended efforts to get Scandanavian wonder-coach in).

I’m beginning to feel that we’re building for next season already while going in for promotion this year.

You take the players we have on loan out of the side, those whose contracts are ending and some whose ages aren’t getting younger and these new permanent signings start filling those spaces.

On paper all of them are very good league 1 players if we stay in league 1, or should do a job in the championship.

If the data is correct, of course!

  • Fred played left wingback during the Championship season with (ironically) Jason McCarthy on the right. Not necessarily the whole season of course but certainly at least towards the end. I have an abiding memory of Fred falling on top of a prostrate Harry Kane on the touchline in front of the main stand and getting up with a big smile on his face.
