Indeed. But I’m fairly sure that neither of them was looking at cue cards. I did wonder about the newspapers but they didn’t appear to look at them apart from an occasional glance. Even if they were reading it, it was all so rapid and tongue twisting that I reckon reading it would have been a hindrance.
They really are missed. There’s nothing comparable today as far as I know. Quite a lot of their stuff on YouTube no doubt.
Well I’ve just opened up the pitches for a school I work at and there are branches everywhere, it’s actually hard to walk across the pitches with the wind and a ball just flies off randomly when I kick it in the air.
Luckily Adams Park is in a low lying area surrounded by four stands, so is protected from the worst winds. As our football is now played mostly on the deck, the poor weather is going to have no effect on us today.
Oh, my wheelie bins have just disappeared down the road followed by a trampoline and a gazebo (last used in 2021).
It's all going to be fine today, nothing to worry about ...
There’s only one storm !! Thank goodness. Storms in the plural are thunderstorms, dotted around geographically. Darragh and his brothers and sisters cover thousands of square miles on their own.
Stay safe, folks, and don’t forget the thermals and waterproofs.

Nobody tell him that Ronnie Corbett's monologue every show was him reading cue cards.

It’s very wet and windy out there folks.
It could be quite farcical if the game stays on and this weather persists.
The noises coming from the club suggest the game is not in doubt.
I’m not sure what you mean by “farcical”. Not ideal or pleasant weather no but I don’t think farcical.

I think that reasonably qualifies as farcical.
All I know is I’m not going on the Chairlift today to get to the game

It won't be brilliant but at least the ground has decent sized stands taking some of the wind effect away.
These conditions at Wealdstone last week could have been fun!
