I'm one of the very few Skura votes, I went with him for exactly this reason. He wasn't the blood and thunder of Grimmer, but he was very solid out there and brushed off some heavy challenges with ease. Also seemingly not a bad crosser of the ball, he continues to both impress and surprise.
One thing I like about Skura is how long he has been around (per the conversation about him being the longest serving player on the pitch). The most significant development squad successes to date (Mehmeti & Forino) found their feet very quickly, but there is something nice about a player who has been one of those numerous names being loaned out or playing in the odd BSDM trophy games to finally break through.
Yes, he’s broken through with a vengeance. You’d be confident that he’d cope well anywhere in the back four and, if we weren’t so richly blessed with midfielders, he’d be perfectly competent playing further forward.
A goal and two assists. Our opening goal doesn't happen without Humphries instantly closing down his opponent and inducing the mistake, he gave them no time on the ball all day.
Yes @Ed_ and @micra Humphries was excellent during the Peterborough match as well in nicking the ball in midfield and moving it forwards. For a slight chap, he seems to have both the disruptive and the creative skills required. Very exciting loan and long may it last.
Not just Humphreys. I don't know what MB said to them in the dressing room, but all ten outfield players did a good impression of Scowen, chasing and harrying the opposition like a pack of rabid dogs.

Sounds like Humphreys took on a Scowen-like mantle.
