  • Could have been one of many again

  • I didn’t watch the game as I was canyoning with my youngest son in Madeira.

Could we add Matt Bloomfield to the man of the match. I would like to vote for him.

  • Fred for me. A goal and some silky glimpses of what we all know and expect from him. Still early doors for him but a superb performance today.

  • An impossible task.

I’ll probably endorse the club choice.

  • Good to see Taylor on the list, in this system today there's a big onus on both central defenders to choose when to pass it on and when to drive through the middle, and neither of them looked in any danger defensively.

  • Humphreys but Bakinson played a blinder.

  • Udoh for those clever little turns to create himself space but again it’s a lot of players to choose from.

  • Bakinson for coming in and arguably improving the attacking side of the midfield in the abscence of Scowen!

Don’t get me wrong, Scowen is irreplaceable but we played through the thirds so well with Bakinson ahead of Morley.

I also realise how good Scowen’s two assists were on Tuesday.

This is our best ever squad. So much strength in depth. Skura was so assured.

Humphreys was everywhere and a very close second for me.

  • Yes, I can’t remember a stronger squad our substitutions are a nightmare for the opposition.

  • Gave it to Humphries for goal and assist...but I was also impressed with Bakinson, Udoh, Fred and the back four. Also Skura was solid after Grimmer was crocked.

  • Bakinson for me. Terrific performance, both snuffing out danger and starting attacks.

  • Humphries was different class, but a special mention to Bakinson, his best game for us so far easily

  • Went with Fred too. Reminded us he has some pretty good pace, and definitely his best outing on his return by far. Longest too at 88mins, he's getting near full fitness now and it's showing.

  • So tough again even Rav had a decent game.

Thought the midfield trio were absolutely superb, Bakinson its the best Ive seen him, Humphries living up to his promise & Morely again showing why we should sign him if we can.

Defensively they all looked so comfortable especially young Skura who didn't put a foot wrong when coming on for Jack.

Upfront at times we were irresistable, Fred had a stormer.

Ive gone for Bakinson as he just edged it over the others Ive mentioned.

  • Taylor was also different class today. I paid particular attention to him this afternoon and his reading of the game is excellent. I like my central defenders to be big, commanding and with a good stride when needed. Maybe his performance went a little unnoticed but he certainly caught my eye.

  • Went for Humphreys, edging it over Fred. But only because of Fred's poor pass after running onto a delightful chip (possibly a no look?) from Bakinson down our right wing in the second half. A better pass, from Fred, would have been an almost certain goal for one of the two or three players running in through the middle.

When did we have such a rich and deep talent pool as this. I could easily have given it to Bakinson, who I thought had an excellent game too. The rest weren't that bad either.

  • Great post! Taylor really does dominate the opposition in a calm, serene way.

It’s great to hear all this recognition of how well Tyreece Bakinson played today because quite a few of us were unimpressed with what I think was his first appearance in a Wycombe shirt, much the same as with Nigel Longwijk and Dan Harvie.

In Bakinson’s case there were also some pretty uncomplimentary comments from Sheffield Wednesday fans. Not the wisest Owls perhaps.

  • Josh..?

Humphries was my MOTM, but any of the middle three could stake a claim. I also thought Harvie had another strong game.

Today was the perfect example of having quality all over the pitch. We never got close to our top gear but were comfortable throughout (admittedly against very poor opposition).

We made that look very easy. Our place in the table is on merit not on luck or only beating poor sides. Huge depth of talent in the squad and if we can keep injuries to a minimum we have a very good chance of top six. What a time to be alive!

oh and Humphreys for me (just). Not a poor performance out there.

  • One or two on here have described Orient as a poor side. If a poor side can beat Stockport County 4-1 at Edgeley Park (as Orient did) I feel more confident than for some time about our ability to lay that particular bogey.

  • Could vote for everyone today including the manager. I don’t think I’ve ever considered everyone worthy. Back four superb. Morley is well documented as my favourite. However. I’ll go Caleb Taylor today. Positionally superb. Centre halves have done very well this season even though we’ve conceded loads. Not a lot of midfield protection without Josh and they kept a clean sheet. Superb.

  • Fred was great today.

  • Once again Humphreys shows the difference just a modest amount of experience in mens football can be the difference for a player's development. Comparisons between him and Freddie Potts are a tad unfair but Freddie joined us with no games, Cameron with 20 games and it shows. Humphreys has a level of maturity that I suspect Freddie is displaying at Portsmouth right now. Both players technically gifted but Humphreys displays an awareness that you have to learn by playing. For the 2nd goal he knew he could put pressure on the defender and got his reward before playing the only ball that Dan could score from, ie behind the striker. For his goal you could see him directing the play and pointing to where he wanted it before letting his talent do the rest.

We have been astonishingly fortunate to have these wonderful talents over the past 2 seasons and I am loving seeing these youngsters enjoying their development whilst we reap the rewards.

  • Called Skura having a blinder of a season after the Swans game.

Feel like if he continues to mature we might have another Williamson on our hands

  • Yep. I reckon he had the most difficult job on the pitch and carried it out with some style despite being targetted in the same way Jack was before he had to go off.

  • They've certainly had a few decent results, like beating Reading away and holding Wrexham.

But they're 5th bottom having played 13 games for a reason.

  • Would be an incredible result if he gets to that level as that'd bypass Mehmeti as being our biggest development squad success.
