Comments
Chesham away please.
Failing that, Harborough, Taunton or Maidenhead or Weston-super-Mare away will do!
Kettering would be a nostalgia trip.
Looking forward to the draw but I really hate this policy of watering the competition down in order to spread it over a wider and wider weekend. The first few rounds used to be a rich feast of football that were more interesting than what was going on in the top flight, but now it is 4 days of thin gruel competing with a top flight that has also spread its banquet wider - it hardly gets a look in. The sooner they get this back to all fixtures being at 3pm Saturday (bar maybe one, two max) with the draw at 5pm so folk have time to get from the match to the nearest pub - the better.
How many local pubs close to the grounds would have been busy had this been so last Saturday? How many attendees would have vowed at that moment to make the next fixture regardless of the practicalities? How many adolescent fans doing their first season in the company of a family member or with a couple of keen friends haven't been sucked in for good off the back of a roaring game followed by a dash to the local to find out instantly where the recently won reward would take them? Last week's discussion on getting the club back into the community is affected by things like this; the cost of the constant chopping and changing from up high in an attempt to sell the whole spectacle to the armchair fan is counted here.
agree with a lot of that but as we all know the draw should be at lunchtime on the monday and on the radio only
As for this business of publishing the draw numbers in advance.....don't get me started
I agree, I don't like knowing the numbers
I agree, I don't like knowing the numbers
Barrow away!
92 ✅
Any non league team would be great
Maidenhead would be a right treat, imagine they would sell out our away stand.
A non-league away would be perfect. I feel we'd slip up at Chesham, so would like Woking or Tonbridge.
Harrogate or Salford away, to help with the 92, or any non-League TTOs.
I need to do them 2 plus Bromley, Gillingham and Swindon for the 92.
Away somewhere in the West Midlands as I'll be at my in-laws that weekend. Walsall away is almost as dull as Northampton but do-able by bus (sorry, "buz" as Wassall folk call it). Rushall Olympic or Tamworth would be interesting away ties.
Just get on with the draw ffs.
how hard can it be? Ted Croker, Bert Millichip, and get the thing drawn ...
They've got 30 minutes to fill ...
Home to York City
Home to York
Whoops, watched half an hour of the One Show waiting for it on the wrong channel
If you can’t have a glamour tie you want a winnable one. We’ve got that at least.
Please don't shut the Frank Adams
MK vs AFC Wimbledon
MK Dons vs Wimbledon. Arf.
Former player as their manager, interesting twist.
You had to go and say it ...
Lincoln at home for Chesham. That’s a good one.
Sutton home to Birmingham City
Great draw for Chesham
Don't!
And they probably will won't they.
Some good ties in there.
