Also on that note, the replay from the away end of Kone's second goal to give us the lead against Posh shows Morley celebrating like Killian Philips used to. Really passionate.
@bookertease given the constant mantra from Dan Rice of wanting to be sustainable long term I suspect Lomtadze's focus for splurging his money will be playing/training infrastructure and the academy; albeit Blooms constantly talks about the support he is given by "the owners" so maybe he will be prepared to show that support if we get the chance to sign Morley.
As for whose money that is really down to how ML wants to structure it, I suspect it will be directors loans but he might surprise me & do it as additional equity. Directors loans are usually "soft" & rank after other creditors if disaster strikes.
The SCMP wage cap protocol wouldn't allow for additional funding to be funded by loans, but does allow for cash injections in the form of shares to cover losses. We're not going to know quite how much Lomtadze is covering until we see the accounts for this season. Barring a massive uptick in attendances and/or massive cup run and/or extraordinary transfer fees coming in, it could well be a record loss.
I'd keep them.all if I could. All of them have shown us great effort... skill... enthusiasm and have won us all over. I hope they are all enjoying this wycombe rise to excellence ✨️
i think it does tell us something we didn’t already know (well not publicly anyway). He’s hinted that Morley will sign for Wycombe on a permanent deal if we meet Bolton’s asking price.
The telling quote: “Every player has a valuation, you know that, and if someone meets it then we will look at it.”
I think you’re reading that the wrong way stander. Evatt wanted Aaron to get proper football to see if he could regain his undoubted ability as he just wasn’t doing it at Bolton so he would obviously look for a good club for him not a poor one, somewhere that would challenge him, which he seems to have got with you. Evatt obviously still rates him because he gave him a new 3 year contract in the summer but it’s still difficult to see what would change for him if he came back in January with the competition we have in midfield and a ruck of players returning from injury. I think he’s with you for the season so I wouldn’t worry too much about losing him. At least he can’t play against us so that’s one thing but if Aaron helps you push on at the top it can only be good for both of you. If we don’t go up this year Evatt’s toast anyway and if we do he’d probably look to strengthen the squad anyway so Aaron might stay permanently with you whether or not you go up too. Lots to happen this season yet but we both seem to be doing ok so good luck to both of us. 😀
He still hasn't got over the fact that while he was managing a team going out of the Football League, he had to watch us celebrating our promotion to League One on his home patch.
Think we will sign him in Jan and then don’t have to play mind games with Evatt. Let’s face it the owner can afford to buy him if he is happy to sign of course.
His issues are injury related, If he can't play it doesn't matter where he is, presumably he got a decent pay rise and we wouldn't have kept him on forever if that doesn't clear up, Bolton are still a massive club with potential to return higher, one phone call from ML or legal ruling and we'd be back to being tiny in comparison.

I wonder if the Wycombe/Bolton links will help us with Morley.
Feels like if we are in with a serious chance of promotion come the window then funds may be available. Mid table obscurity then less so.
Teef boys, Taf, Revs etc?
Maybe we could player swap Taf for Morley?
After Forino I think they'll be checking injury records a little more carefully!

I thought bakinson was excellent today
Watching Aaron’s interview after the Stockport game, he seems very happy here at Wycombe and I sincerely hope we can sign him permanently in January.
Playing regularly in a winning team of great characters for a manager that rates you might be what keeps our loan players here.

I’d make signing him permanently number one priority in January. Hopefully we’ll keep Humphries until the end of the season and Taylor too.
Also, new contracts for Kone, Low and Blooms please asap!
Ian Evatt speaking on Aaron Morley. Doesn’t really say anything we didn’t already know.

I think you're right, and I hope you've sent that excellent, intelligent, considered summary of the situation to the Bolton board @FarmerCee 😉
Interesting take, but I disagree. Bolton are arrogant. It comes from the manager.

Arrogant.
I would actually argue that the % of Wycombe home fans that travel away is probably very healthy and probably up there with the best in the league.
He still hasn't got over the fact that while he was managing a team going out of the Football League, he had to watch us celebrating our promotion to League One on his home patch.
We travelled well that day...!
I like Bolton and they have great fans but Evatt is a nasty piece of business.

Or he might end up at Coventry!!
Evatt does not suit Bolton, who are a fine club. I'd love it for them if Mark Robins ended up replacing him!
Less of that talk, @bookertease or we’ll have to send you to Coventry !
Leave me out of it! I spent a year sent (working) to Coventry in the 90s (whilst living in Wycombe). Once a lifetime is enough thankyou
This is how it feels to be Wycombe. This is how it feels to be small. We signed Morley. You signed Chris Forino, Chris Forino 🎶
Bet Forino is regretting moving now with the ownership changes.
Did he leave before the ownership change?
