Max was actually dropped the game after a clean sheet (Oxford) and following a run of 1 defeat in 5, not a run of bad performances, and just like Harvie, he was on of the best in his position in L1 the season before. He was also brought back in to get us to Wembley, and then dropped again after a MOTM performance.
Either way, I am not saying drop Harvie forever, I am saying drop him while he is in such dreadful form. This happens all the time - Bakinson had a bit of a nightmare last week and Butcher started yesterday. Most people would have had Taffs in for Hartridge even if the latter had not got the red card. Bakinson came back as a sub and did reasonably well. Hartridge will get back in the rotation.
Definitely different schools of thought, and you don't want too quick of a hook, but that has to be balanced with a meritocracy too, for me.
Butch Was very poor yesterday - clearly not match fit.
Max had off field problems that Blooms stepped into. He has blasted the club since leaving calling it ‘toxic’ so as far as I am concerned he is a poor team player and I’m glad he’s gone.
ML not there yesterday but his son-in-law was. I understand he is due to attend a game soon.
Taffers seems to be made of glass. Too much gym work?
40 visits a month to the Gasroom since July 2016 suggests that you may not be in the diehard category of Wanderers support but I trust that your contributions over the years have included at least a few positive comments. Are you able to balance the negativity that seems to have consumed you lately with the odd nugget of optimism for the rest of the season?
Par for him is missing 25-50% of a season. He’s a terrific player but it does scream out that we need cover. Some players are unlucky with injuries and some players deals with injuries differently.
Yes, you wonder who would have become the 3rd one? No-one else on the bench. Harvie to left centre back? But then you have someone out of position trying to do the difficult left wing back job.
Sorry to hear that. I don’t log on and off, so my visits are probably quadruple the number shown. My poor close eyesight and lack of concentration prevent me from reading more than about 20 pages at a time of the books I’d love to really get into - not least “How they Broke Britain” of course.
When you compare to last season, we lost 3-0 twice against more forgiving opposition instead of 3-2 twice this season against very good sides.
Last season we tightened up defensively eventually, but never really manufactured goals consistently aside from the odd burst (Peterborough 5-2, etc.).
This season we are already manufacturing goals, so hopefully tightening it up at the back (which I think is the easier of the two propositions anyway) will see us right.

Rotherham next - we will beat them. 👍👍

There's certainly some odd disconnect between his almost adonis like sculpted physique versus his ability to play even 60-70% of games.
Have you considered that it's his gym work which gets him to fitness for >50% of games?
Otherwise he might only play once a month.😆
All I know is that the last player so pleased with his physique was Castledine!
And by his standards, Taf is playing mad numbers.

Go Jonny go… The stage is yours.
A few gasroomers have a dual account they post their main negative stuff from don't they?

Cos we only had one centreback?

@glasshalfempty Grimmer is captain. But I agree Leahy hasn’t lived up to the hype.
not any that I know of. Plus @micra, I think I’ve explained before that the “visits” metric is almost meaningless.
I just logged out and back in and it didn't add to my "visits" so assume that's what you mean?
@Micra needs to get back on the post count.
Is that something you could whisk together, a top 20 posters list of quantity of posts? Just for interest for us stats anoraks.

I’m not expecting a response from @Jonny7.
It occurred to me having posted that Leahy wasn’t captain. You can see why, you need to lead by example as a captain.
Will we get fined for people wearing red and green tracksuits?
Not if we can prove they were there representing as Santa’s Elves, Christmas having come early with Lomtadze’s billions.

Oh nearly forgot. Apparently there was a football match somewhere nearby.
