This is nothing short of positive times ahead for us. Expanding on the coaching staff, new training ground, its all the things you need to progress and become a bigger club off the field. Patience is key here I feel, as hard as it is to not get carried away with the new structure.
100% Agree with you @Major, the new owners have come in with a clear plan and steps to make that progression and I think we need to look at our step-up in 5 yrs time and see the progress that we've made.
I wonder how much patience they will have with Matt and his staff. I hope a lot. It would be fantastic to retain some of the Wycombe culture and heritage. Not as fun supporting a team that has lost its entire identity to a Kazakh billionaire.
With all the positivity surrounding the new coaching and training ground it is the middle of June, six weeks until we are close to kicking a ball in anger. Expectations for the season? Are we going to have a target on our back with the perception of money. You can say that about quite a few clubs in our league now (Burton included now) so what is now par? I'm still thinking that play-offs this season would be a great achievement. The new owners might be thinking otherwise of course.
Not necessarily, we have absolutely no idea at all if Dobbo would want to align to and could / would deliver upon Bloomfield’s own coaching and playing philosophy. This is individual to each coach.
Totally agree! It is going to be an absolutely loaded division. Birmingham, Rotherham, Bolton, Huddersfield, Barnsley, Wrexham, Stockport, Peterborough just to name a few.
Disagree about the statement you made about coaching and playing. I do not believe, overall, there is any correlation between where someone has played and how good they might be at coaching that position.
I appreciate not everyone likes rugby but Sean Edwards is the best rugby union defence coach in the world and he only played rugby league. Andy Farrell has done wonders with Ireland and barely played Union.
George Graham, a midfielder or forward but managed one of the best defences ever seen in the English top flight.
Of course, there will be some very good coaches who also played in the position they coach but I really don't think it is a problem. Paul Warne was a physio!!!

‘Get your chequebook out Lomtadze!’
Patience ???? Football fans with patience, now that really would be a novelty.

Looking at the other teams in our league, the playoffs would be an amazing achievement.
You'd hope so but it might turn out that the main data analysis is 0 points from 3 games = Lommy shows his ruthless side.

I'd say we're one of half a dozen teams who can expect to be challenging for the play offs as long as things go their way. It's going to be fun!
If we have a run like last season, he's gone. Hopefully won't happen though and we carry straight on where we left off !
