I think there is a rule that we can't transfer more than 6 foreign U-21's in a season. Lets just hope that they don't have a golden age of players coming through that have 7 or more quality players!
That's been the biggest ground that I got to officiate at. Having 2,500 (roughly) fans turning up to watch league games similar to the level of Risborough Rangers or Holmer Green was crazy!
That must have been when it all felt worthwhile, excellent.
Wasn't that long ago Hereford got up to league 1. Such a shame an owner messed them up too. Hopefully they'll come back at least to the Conference in time.
15lbs is the size of a whippet, not at all scary even in wolf form, more of a protowolf I would say. The eagle is going to be far harder, talons, beak, big powerful wings, I’ll take my chances with the wolves please.
@Chickenhead I’m more concerned with the leaky roof of the main stand and the structural issues with the terrace than a scoreboard and some advertising hoardings. No-one is denying that the Couhigs did some good stuff, but what was promised in lieu of rent was that the ground would be maintained and that has not happened.
I didn't make a lot of games this season, but the place looked very tired on the final day - weeds growing in the stands is never a great sign. The terrace is close to the end of its life as well, isn't it?
I came on here to if if there had been any further updates or information made available..... instead I'm thinking about who would win in a fight between big eagles and small wolfs ....
Don't get me wrong, I'm not necessarily going for the wolf-sized eagle option; just warning others not to be complacent if attacked by a hundred eagle-sized wolves.
Am I being a bit thick here ? I might be wrong, but has our new owner actually addressed us the fans yet ?
I know he said a few things about what he wanted to do, but wasn't sure if that was just a general interview to all when announced.
Sorry I could well be wrong, it's been a long day at work and I'm knackered.
Tbf to Rob, he did have his faults, don't care what people say... but he was very upfront and approachable, and the first thing he did was talk to the fans.
“To the Wycombe fans, I do not and will not take lightly the responsibility for the Club in front of its fans, staff and players. Our goal is to achieve long-term success both on and off the pitch whilst building a financially sustainable club. The football world is evolving very fast and our priority will be to integrate data analytics and technology to elevate the Club’s performance to new levels. I am also a strong believer in youth development and it will be fundamental to the Club’s vision.
"We aim to re-open and build a leading high-performance academy which will become an essential part of our long-term strategy of developing a club that consistently performs at the top level. We are looking forward to working with the Wycombe Wanderers Supporters’ Trust as we together take the club into its next chapter. I’m excited to get started and I look forward to seeing everyone down at Adams Park for the start of the 2024/25 season.”

Pete did not decide to move on, he was moved on by the new owners and replaced with their own man.
Would you rather fight a wolf sized eagle, or a hundred eagle sized wolves?
I'd take the eagle-sized wolves. Imagine the size of the talons on a wolf-sized eagle.
For sure - or even if there was a club already doing it, you’d think it wouldn’t take long for the EPL to catch on and close the loophole.
But then the question still stands, how does the academy make sense if the minute it produces anyone decent, they get stolen for a pittance?
I'd take a slightly smaller eagle over 100 slightly bigger wolves.

Wolf sized eagle! On paper, there isn't much of a difference between their sizes anyways!
Do you understand how big eagles are?
To be fair (and having just looked this up) the smallest species of eagle weighs 1lb and the smallest species of wolf weighs 45lb
That must have been when it all felt worthwhile, excellent.

the end result in both is the same, think I'd go for whichever one would be over soonest
The biggest golden eagles (only the fifth largest species of eagle) weigh 15lb+. A fifteen lb wolf would be a handful, never mind a hundred of them.
But the wolf-sized eagle could just grab you and fly off
The Gasroom: Log on to find out about the 24 updates on the new ownership thread. Leave knowing that eagles are slightly larger than wolves.

It's been close for a couple of years at least

Typical gasroom.....
Imagine a wolf sized chihuahua

Being attacked by a hundred of anything would be pretty scary. I reckon 100 rabbits could fuck you up.
Isn't that basically the plot of the fourth Wallace and Gromit film?
I'm imagining being attacked by 100 Japanese female college students.
I usually imagine that once a day and twice at the weekends.
You'd only need one rabbit if it was The Killer Rabbit of Caerbannog.
Especially if they were all called Roger.
Would you rather fight a rabbit sized esquilax, or a hundred esquilax sized rabbits?

@HolmerBlue Yes.
