Congratulations to Jack Grimmer - with his 186th appearance tonight he moved out of a tie with Sido Jombati and into 20th place in appearances (league era).
Interesting to me is that the return of Fred has made it a bit of an epic race up the leaderboard with Vokes (30), GMac (28) and Fred (27) all close together. I can't help but think the order will be flipped by the end of the season with Vokes out, I am guessing something like Fred (34), GMac (32), Vokes (31).
Also, Kone is close to the edges of the assist leaderboard already (though that is a newer statistic).
Notable pending appearance landmarks are Scowen passing Bulman for 14th, Wheeler passing Gape for 18th, McCleary passing Johnson for 22nd, and Hanlan making his 100th appearance for the club.
With Pattenden impressive performance covering for Grimmer, unfortunately cannot see McCarthy adding too many more to his total. Great club servant but better players in front of him.
If Vokes comes back and stays fit he could score his fair share of goals in this team. We are creating so many chances and for all our goals we could be scoring even more if our finishing were just a little better. We could have 8 or 9 on Tuesday and I don't think that would have flattered us to be honest.
The most important thing for both Vokes and us is that we don't just use him as a big target man to come on when Plan A might not be working.
GMac, take a bow. For someone supposedly injury prone when we signed him to not only make 200 appearances, but offer such sustained quality as well, is testament to him as a pro.
Crazy that Kone is already on the fringes of the top 25 after one calendar year! If he is here till the summer, he could end up right in that 12th-17th area.
It will be interesting to see who in the current squad ends up with the most Wycombe goals. Vokes has 30 but appears close to done, GMac has 29 but may not be here past the summer, and Fred also has 29 but is a little hard to predict. Kone has 19 but sadly may not be here long enough to keep banging them in.
I almost wonder if it will actually be Luke Leahy, who has 18 goals in a season and a half, thanks to many pens, but can also bang them in from free kicks and open play.
I’ve been frustrated by Leahy at times but 18 goals and 13 assists is pretty good going. Scowen’s assists total is also impressive. Not just a midfield terrier, he’s the complete package.

Hoping to see Fred and GMac in the Too 10 for goals scored by season end.

BWK I’m sure, but I don’t think I realized Blooms had made the most FL appearances.

Updated list, with both Morley and Taylor removed (to wailing in the streets).

He has been absolutely spectacular for us overall. He deserves quite the send off whenever he calls it a day!
You could tell we were onto a good one there with that cross he put in right after coming on for his debut at Forest
Thank you @Shev , I love these stats. 👍👍👍
That's nice to hear! Just realized I have Humphreys' name spelled incorrectly in the first column. In before the police! 😆
I saw it..but didn't want to ruin our bromance by making a 3rd type comment like this to you in one evening after none before :-)
Bromance secure!
