I'd argue that RKs sexuality is his business and nobody else's. However, it does have relevance in the context of how and why he is where he is today. Truth is, while I'd heard about his footballing abilities, I was totally unaware of his background.
Having read the short article linked to earlier, I'm of the opinion that he's just the kind of character who will thrive at WWFC. If he can score goals as freely for us as he has been so far then everyone's a winner.
Looking forward to seeing him play. Might even be tempted to come to the Bristol Street Motors game v West Ham, if it seems like he'll play.
We need to be patient with him because he’s still raw and will make mistakes, but he’s a handful and if his control is that good on poor pitches I can’t wait to see him at Adams Park. He’s different and I would guess defenders won’t know what to make of him.
The match is at Adams Park as you say. I was being silly, trying to point out the irony (as I saw it) that he had to move out to Wycombe to play (if picked next Tuesday) against the big club a couple of miles up the road from his previous club.
This is what I love about raw players out of non league, they don’t obey the rules of football. And that terrifies defenders. Anis was a great example of this. On his debut in the Championship he should have been playing measured football as surely he must be overwhelmed. Nope. So I hope RK brings that rawness to our team too. Pace. Running at players. A finish. Yes please!
Some of these ideas for chants are brilliant but the problem is they are never taken up by the fans whose repertoire seems limited to one or two old classics like Chairboys, barmy army etc. What a shame we don’t have a group who could initiate some new songs.
I did notice this on Monday where there was very little creativity when it came to songs for players. I think I only heard one for Taff and that was it (I might have missed some) but I remember a few years ago, every single player had a chant that was used throughout the game. In recent times, we only get the slow "Wanderers, wanderers......", "Barmy Army, Chairboys!" and the odd fast clapping for a corner.
What happened to the "Everyone, shout Abuse at the keeper" "ABUSE!" "Everyone, shout MORE Abuse at the keeper" "MORE ABUSE". And also the terrace going silence for a goal-kick and then everyone shouting "TW&T!" at him just before kicking the ball......?
He might well have been earmarked for a start in midweek, but surely it wouldn't have hurt to give him a few mins to get his debut out of the way and a taste of it early on?
4 of the starting outfielders have to have started the previous league game or the next one or are in the top ten appearances in the season or have played 40 or more league games in their career or are on loan from a premiership or top championship club.

Tradition would dictate that he needs to also play right back, but new manager and all I reckon left back could be the new right back.

Patience? You make it sound like we can't be trusted to make calm measured judgements about what goes on on the pitch @glasshalffull 😊
The Kone Kult has no time for 'patience'
Good point well made😃

I can fully understand the disapproval.
The typo paid me out for my lack of humour!

I've seen absolutely nothing of this lad, but hopefully it's something along the excitement of when we signed McSporran.
That was a really exciting time.
Exactly what I was thinking, @Malone. Jocky was so exciting in those early months. Let's hope Kone has a similar start.
Jermaine Jermaine, Jermaine Jermaine...
I reckon you could just about adapt Yaya & Kolo Toure to Joe Low and Richard Kone

It’s always difficult to make irony work in print. But yes The1887 have gone very quiet (pun intended)😉
A 1 and a 2 and a 3 Richard Kone
A 4 and a 5 and a 6 Richard Kone
A 7 and a 8 and a 9 Richard Kone
Hey Richard Kone
(To the Macarena)
To quote philosopher Calvin Harris, perhaps the chants were 'acceptable in the 80's' (1880's that is!)
Club tweet announces that the paperwork is complete and Kone can start playing.

Yay!!!
Initial thoughts, who on earth approved that kit clash in the top right?

Another reason to dislike short goal kicks, although I believe the more traditional shout is ‘you’re shit, aaaahhh’
Aaaahhhhhaahhhhhhhh
I thought it was one of those Mandela effect things when Peter Crouch was saying it's "bullsssssh!!!!!!!!t" shouted on goal kicks.
But it's definitely what you said.
Surely the most anticipated Pizza Cup Game ever, owing to likely Kone debut?
Ravazolli
KVY
Forino (if fit)
Keogh
Boyes (if still with us)
Scowen
Phillips
Kone
3 development chaps?
Trying to remember what the rule is about how many players you have to use from the last game.
And whether they had to have played in that last game, or just been in the squad.
Kim's Kone Kult. A new terrace dwelling clan? What could possibly go wrong?
