Surely this is a bit like a 32 year old singer wanting to be a footballer, yeah you can play a load of charity matches, and train with Crawley for a few weeks but unlikely to make the Champions league.
The last few months have probably been crap so good luck to him if he's doing something he enjoys. Would be surprised not to see him back on the league before long although possibly lower down and further north than he might currently like.
Don't get me wrong - I have heard Gareth's album and it is middle of the road pub rock that won't change the Watford Gap, let alone the world. He just seems very focused on it right now, what with the gigging abroad and whatnot.
One of my tracks went surprisingly “viral” on TikTok over the summer, ~400k streams and I earned £3.50. Of course £3.50 is too little for them to even bother paying out, so actually I earned sod all.
