I'm sure any outgoing Wycombe player negotiations will include an allowance of time for Wycombe to bring in replacements so that there is a smooth transition. We haven't had any outgoing Wycombe players YET so any criticism as of now is unjustified. For example, they might agree a fee for Low but buying team may allow 2-3 weeks for Wycombe to finalise a replacement. Outgoing loanees are another matter. Nothing you can do about those. Let's all hope there is no recall for Humphreys.
I was also there in the Trust meeting where shouty ice cream seller got all bully boy and stormed up to the questioner, thought it was going to go off in the meeting (would have spiced up the trust meeting somewhat!). I believe he did apologise to the chap after the meeting.
Agree, it’s not particularly helpful. Based on snippets and limited info, there seems to be some disconnect or readjustment between the old and new world, and some like Mr. Howard (and MB’s brother?!) are prepared to put forward their views and make their loyalties known. Clearly, MB is the head coach and in charge of managing first-team affairs while the other staff manage the business of the club and other projects. Reading between the lines, there is a respectful entente cordiale rather than a warm embrace of these boundaries, with perhaps a grey area on transfers, which are both a first-team and business matter.
One thing is certain, this is shaping-up to be a transfer window for the ages! Only at its conclusion, and judging by results, will we be able to fairly or unfairly judge how successfully proactive and reactive we’ve been with our recruitment and retention.
Rumours that we’re interested in Sonny Bradley from Derby and also Romaine Sawyers (who left Wimbledon after using them to regain match fitness and by all accounts has done well). Think less truth in the Sawyers one but who knows
Sorry have to take issue with the ‘far and away’ emphasis of that statement.
Yes, they have been good but I will counter argue that the post-Torquay window that bought us Jj, Sido, Mawson, Paul Hayes and Peter Murphy was our best ever, especially when you consider the context.
No worries. There was a conversation after the meeting where further clarification was sought on the original question. There were a few people involved in that conversation, including Ivor Beeks. The only kiss would likely have been of the Glasgow variety!

Assume (!) a muse bouche would be a poet spouting inspirational words.
Not too late to change it to “an amuse bouche”, @perfidious_albion. A lovely, if rather quaint, expression beloved of my dear sister.

I really don’t think such a comment from someone like Andrew Howard is helpful and is rather disappointing.
Cheekily brought forward from the bottom of the previous page.
Wasn't Trevor Stroud one of his ice cream salesmen for a while?
yet very much ‘on brand’
From what I heard Trevor was just a lacky that did whatever he was told
Poor old Trevor...years later still getting the blame for something or other.
But still man enough to chip in on the Gasroom occasionally when things aren’t going too well.
Disclaimer: have a sneaky suspicion that the Gasroom @trevor might possibly be a different person 😉.
Yep, the last few days are getting a bit too close to those woeful Marlowchair / Nicebiscuits conspiracy nonsense fuelled by their bitternesses.
Lolz. Could you imagine if it was the same Trevor. So downtrodden because of the criticisms, he's utterly bleak about everything.
Luckily it's a certainty it's one of the regular's parody account.

This... we've got nearly a whole month to go still, to early to judge, if its been a shit show at the end, then moan
It may be naive, but I liked the Ainsworth/Bloomfield transition, troubled as it was.
The thought of wealthy owners casting around for another manager 'proven at this level' every six/twelve months fills me with dread.
I think it's safe to assume that Bloomfield won't have a Gaz-length tenure
I think the technical term is "a Gazillion"

I can assure you there was no apology.
Sounds like a real bully to me.
Sorry GHE I thought I saw them talking after the meeting, assumed he was kissing and making up, my mistake.
A bully who sells ice cream sounds like a SNL skit.
Am sure a work colleague had dealings with him and said he's a bit of a forceful character.
But I expect a timid fella wouldn't boss a big company, have millions and be as successful.
Sorry have to take issue with the ‘far and away’ emphasis of that statement.

Signing incoming
For the first team?
Something to get the cockles cocked? Or not?
Sonny Bradley on loan for the season.
