Attendance Prediction Bristol Rovers (h) - Mon 26th Dec - Match 23

edited December 2022 in Football

The Boxing Day game:

I reckon it is 5 years since we had a home fixture on Boxing Day - Newport County on Tuesday 26th Dec 2017, in the League Two promotion season. We were at Burton away the following season, then Portsmouth away and then Bristol City away behind closed doors in the Championship and then last year's game home to Cambridge was lost to covid in their camp.

That day five years ago the crowd was 4629 which was slightly above our average crowd for the season.

For those that like this sort of thing they (Bristol Rovers fans) have a prediction thread on their copycat forum -https://gasheads.proboards.com/thread/20505/attendance-predictions-away-wycombe-boxing - ⚡️ they still mention 'lightning gate' on there.⚡️

Last time we played the other quartered lot at home was Sat 8th Feb 2020 in League One in the season we were promoted. The crowd was 5769 and they bought 970.

Could be a bit of atmosphere?

After Portsmouth and Ipswich I go 6133 with 1017 who might have considered visiting the pirate ship in Bank St if it wasn't the wrong end of town.
