I used to enjoy chatting to Steve Maguire (aka Wally) during the early years at Adams Park. He was usually on the pitchside rail, writing fairly frequently in a little notebook. He must have have had an encyclopaedic knowledge of all things Wycombe Wanderers. He was a contemporary of a group of keen young supporters including the likes of Paul Lewis, Ian Blacklidge (@EddieMonsoon), and @Jocks_little_helper (whose name temporarily escapes me).
Sadly, “Wally” died much too young. Not sure they make them like that anymore.
