I think bonus points go to any badge that avoids a roundel or conventional shield shape. So Wolves, Forest, Birmingham etc. all qualify. Sheffield Wednesday's old owl, too. It is similar to kits for me - in ranking kits, bonus points would go to clubs like Wycombe who have recognizable colours even without a badge or sponsor. So with badges, being able to recognize it purely from the outline makes it more iconic for me.
