I don't really know why the fan parks have to be separate to be honest. Sure, if you've got Utd v Liverpool in a cup final then I can understand it but I think it would have been nice to mix with the Mackems before the game
Same here. I've liked every Sunderland fan I've met and always enjoy chatting to oppo fans before a match.
Interested in Wembley's rationale here - agreed with other posters that mixing fans is no problem, but to go to the effort of splitting them up and then having the "Wycombe fan zone" a stone's throw from Box Park - allocated to Sunderland? Odd.
I’ve spent a few days and nights in Sunderland for work and found it a very friendly place. Usually when I have to go to one of our sites, I get allocated a room and I don’t see HR again. In Sunderland, they bought be coffee, tea and lunch and stayed for a chat.
City centre was a good laugh too.
After the horror of the Cheltenham 5-5, I actually found it cathartic to chat with some elated away fans in the beer tent. Couldn’t help being cheered up by their buzz, while swapping tales of other past collapses.
It's nice that they've designed them for us. So you can't just get off a train and stroll into the nearest boozer, you have to book? This is all new for me.

I said earlier on in this thread, I see no reason at all why we have to be split up, you should be able to go and socialise or drink wherever you want
I think there are a few undesignated pubs, outside of the torch, box park and the green man I doubt the designations will be as strict
Box park when it opened became the big event space that goes to the team with most fans, it's massive, the food is great, the beer isn't but they have lots of people serving. That messed with the allocations a bit.
Will be good to see if our fan zone has anything happening, could be a good way to break up a long walk.
Sure there'll be space for a bit of interaction with the Cheesy chips brigade.

Yep, all part of it for me

What’s a fan zone?
A really cool place
Avoid if you don't like sushi
