Brian McGorry played because I remember him being dreadful. I haven't invented that surely?
Likewise Lissaman - in my head, he looked like Rick Parry. Pretty sure I saw him play, although may have been in the Capital League (The Stars Of Tomorrow, In Action Today)

Oasis' 'What's the story' album must have been out by then, as I can remember me and my mates trying to get a chant going that went 'What's the story, Brian McGorry' to the chorus of said song.

Lissaman never played a league or Cup game, neither did Paul Mulvaney.
Two players who signed and then changed there mind.
Ex Reading and Cambridge defender Colin Baille, he then decided to become a copper.
And that horrible little irritant Nicky Smith from Colchester Utd.

There must be loads of youth team players
Jeff Lisaman, Brian Mcgorry.
John McClelland.
Chris Seagrave, Brian Vasey.
Dave Wates

Jack Obersteller, Joe Cobb.
Two starts, four sub appearances, one goal, 1995-97.

It didn't catch on.

I vaguely remember us signing Kenny Glasgow from Flackwell.
I think he had a reserve outing or two and then returned to Wilks Park.

Nicky Smith appeared in that's season's pre-season photo
I had that poster on my wall
I drew over him with a black marker pen
Bit sinister, looking back
Didn't the fellow from Northampton sign and then change his mind.
His name escapes me.
Jamie Forrester?
Don't think he ever signed but he may have agreed to and then backed out
Did Paco Craig play in the B&B?
Ben Frempah I thought of but he made 1 appearance
What about that lad Gaz had to sign as part of some competition a few years back?
Up front v Charlton despite being a CB - pretty niche for your only appearance!
I was thinking of him, no idea what his name was
Nathan Evans. His name seems to pop up rather a lot in these parts!
Chris Carruthers?
That’s the one. Won some drinks company competition, I think. And didn’t we inherit a teammate of Danny Rowe who never actually played?
That's the one.
Danny Rowe's mate Nicky Walker
Jermaine Udumaga's mate James Ferry.
Did he actually go on to have a career ? Even in non league?
It would seem not... https://www.transfermarkt.co.uk/nathan-evans/profil/spieler/324123
Loanees that never played...
Craig Dobson
Franck Rolling (or was he a short-term actual signing?) Made the bench but never came on IIRC.
Yep, at Hungerford in 2020, not long before first lockdown. David Wates scored.
