Elton John @micra
“And I guess that’s why they call it the blues
Time on my hands should be time spent with you
Laughing like children, living like lovers
Rolling like thunder under the covers
And I guess that’s why they call it the blues”
I think I have heard it played over the speakers as we trudge out after a loss.
This is the definite winner. Anthem, easy lyrics to remember and belt out very loudly. Now if only we could get it going. Maybe petition the club to start playing it over the speakers with the lyrics on the big screen
This thread reminds me, the other day in the car Tom's Diner by Suzanne Vega came on the radio. Immediately took me back to those early Adams Park days

Great song, Pete Wylie/ The Mighty Wah. Not sure it has enough of a crescendo and easy words for the non hipsters on the terrace to pick up.
I think the lyrics in this part are quite apt, and easy to learn.
First, they take your pride
Turn it all inside
And then you realise
You've got nothing left to lose
So, you try to stop
Try to get back up
And then, you realise
You're telling the Story of the Blues

Sunshine on the leith by the Hibs fans is fantastic
Absolutely. Watched the excellent Proclaimers documentary on BBC 4 yesterday (?). Wrongly assumed it was Celtic singing it.
I wondered about Hit me with your Rhythm Stick for us (or maybe some other Dury song) but we no longer have a drummer to drive it on (or drive people nuts).

I misread the thread as 'song to untie the terrace'.

This is the one.
Blue (Da Ba Dee)
No need to have a blue reference. Something randomly uplifting would do the job.
Years ago I particularly enjoyed 800-odd FC United supporters doing KC and the Sunshine Band’s That’s the Way for about 20 mins non-stop.
It consisted of chanting the tune before singing the ‘That’s the way, aha aha, I like it, aha aha’ bit.
All the more impressive as they were being beaten at that point.
I think I’d stop coming if we sang that dire Elton John number.
Apart from finding an anthem for the terrace what about the doors “light my fire” just changing the words up for a silly song?
Come on, Wycombe light my fire,
Come on, Wycombe light my fire,
Wycombe, we’re on f**king FIRE
First verse to the song easily adaptable as well

Happy memories
I could see the terrace singing last night I had the strangest dream

@TheAndyGrahamFanClub wins hands down..
Can’t say I got all the balls off the wall but what a cracker !
Possibly marginally more appropriate for a night out with @LX1 than a couple of hours on the terrace.
Now this is impressive
Forgot to post the link
Balls? Bottles of course.
Shameless dive from the lad down the front towards the end
Haha good spot

Will look that up on iPlayer nice one
Wem-ber-ley
We went up
Joe Ja-cob-son wrapped it up
With a knick knack paddy whack, give a dog a bone
Milk Cup Oxford cried at home
I think we should blast this out when we play Plymouth
