It'll be the most difficult case and punishment decision ever.
A load of those 115 charges relate to City not being "open" about sharing details of certain scenarios.
And they all relate to stuff at the first part of their money taking over. It's not the recent stuff.
A 20-30 points charge would be huge, but essentially a big let off, as all that does is rule the title out once, and they probably still qualify for the champions league. Similarly, fining a state with unlimited resources anything is hilarious too.
Ban them from making signings for a window or 2? They'll just buy up big before it kicks in.
Relegate them 1 tier? They'll just storm back a season later.
Do the FA have the skilled lawyers to press home most of those charges and then make it a proper multi division relegation and banish their owners? You can't see it can you?
I thought the main issue was they'd effectively bought players using Etihad's money in order to get around FFP? In any case, they're a horrible club and it makes me die inside a little when I see kids in City shirts (almost as depressing as kids in Al Nassr shirts).
Which charges though? Out of 115 there's no chance 0 will be proven. But what if it's only the charges relating to not being forthcoming ponying up a few documents, rather than the serious ones? What would you do then?
There are 5 areas of charges, with multiple offences in each area including failing to provide accurate accounts for 8 years, breaching UEFA rules & failing to co-operate
I am currently not bothered enough to drill down into the rule books and understand each individual sub charge.
They didn't falsify / delay / miss reporting because the admin lady was on unexpected holiday and nobody could read the receipts, throw the book at them if found guilty.
Although the appeal will be even longer than the first case.
Absolutely agree that Wembley is a great ‘occasion’ venue. And for the likes of Coventry fans it’s a great day out. But for the same top 6 clubs who play there every year adding more opportunities for them to play there somehow must devalue that ‘occasion’ feeling
Having thought this through, I think they AND Chelsea should be kicked out of the PL, and a search should be made for a club whose kit combines dark and light blues to replace their missing kits in the division.
The offending clubs should then be made to watch highlights of Stevenage 0-0s on an endless loop.
The thing is, over time dominant teams change. Sugar daddy money teams like Blackburn and Chelsea had their time and it went.
But with City, you genuinely can't see how they will drop. Guardiola going will obviously see them dip a little, but they were winning titles before him, so unless they bring a Moyes or Hodgson type in, it's very likely they'll still compete.
They can make 50m signings, then just write them off if they don't fairly instantly make the difference.

They'll be the envy of the North West Counties League next year

Paying two salaries, one through the books, one off - there's 1 charge for that for Mancini, but was always rumoured to be the case for other players.
Sponsorships basically supplied by their own companies too. Hacked emails show at least one example of this.
Just the tip of the iceberg though. There were rumours back when they signed Tevez that the true fee was about £47m, back when that was huge.
Nothing will be satisfactory. Even if they go to L2, it will take a promotion place away from a lower league club.
I would seriously consider banning them from the game for a year or two altogether if the charges are proven.
Think a lot of the current charges are concerned with false reporting/ failure to report certain things as much as the original dodgy dealings.

Ban them for 2 years and Man U can use their ground until Old Trafford is re-built. 😂

The last one is wild. This has been dragging on for years!
Just reading more about the "romantic" surge of Wrexham.
Apparently their wage bill this year was 107k a week, against the division average of 58k.
And they have a player (George Evans) on £7.2k a week!

Wow, you really can't take it when someone has a different opinion to you 😂
I believe they're trying Wycombe's "Fred defence".
That the office was being cleaned that weekend.
Would be impressed if they could pull that off on such a scale

Coventry are back in it!!
Rob Jones gives the second-biggest Wembley penalty of his career...
Wow
Guess which twit turned off when it went 3-0.
You can take the credit for the comeback then!
I really hate VAR
Well that demonstrates two things...
1) The magic of the FA Cup
2) VAR sucks
Gutting, but more an excessively harsh offside rule than VAR imo (but VAR is rubbish for the most part, especially when it benefits Man United)
VAR , sucking the fun out of football.
Still some Utd fans will now be on the way home to (anywhere but Manchester) and miss the penalties
The reason VAR is awful perfectly captured in a single goal
