The cheats just need a point vs Carlisle on the final day to secure promotion. Can't wait for them to go and spaff a load more money up the wall in the Championship.
QPR are basically safe having just won, barring something ridiculous happening, and GA will not even have a partial contribution to a relegation on his QPR resume.
Would love QPR as an organisation to just disappear into utterly non descript levels of football, but I'd also hate Gaz to get a big part of the blame.
They've got 3rd bottom Colchester next. Barring a bad mix of results they should still be playoffs bound, so he's still got the chance of a glorious finish to the season.
Difficult to have too much sympathy, has the best squad , resources and backroom setup probably in world football, and they haven't been punished for any of the offences they've been charged with whilst point deductions are flying out left, right and centre, and as you say he has no interest in where any of the money comes from.
They have been charged - 115 times. That's the problem: they've been charged with so many counts, over such a long period, that there was never going to be an instant verdict. It's probably going to take at least another 15-18 months.
Don't wait around to try them all then, pick those most offensive / likeliest to succeed.
Of course they will have good lawyers and may be found innocent regardless, but right now I'd suspect we're going to end up with a scenario where if they are found guilty the club will get an affordable fine and will be able to blame it all on people have moved on. As for the trophies they won whilst "cheating" you can send someone a medal in the post ten years later, although I'd guess they don't even do that , but it's nothing compared to actually winning things in front of your fans.
Whinging elite PL managers take note. Buckie Thistle won the Highland League yesterday, with a 1-0 home win over Keith, to complete six wins in 13 days.
Brechin City and Fraserburgh also won, the latter with an 11-0 win over bottom club Strathspey Thistle, to give them what would have been the winning goal difference, if the top two had lost.
Buckie now face Lowland League champions East Kilbride in the semi-final, winners to play the bottom club in League Two, which will be, with two game to play, Clyde, Stranraer or Bonnyrigg Rose Athletic.
I can see both sides! I just feel Wembley has an edge over club grounds as it's really been designed for these *occasion* fixtures. And more fans can go (in theory, anyway).
They've seduced the media and the government by providing a n epic sporting hub around their ground and doing wonders in the community. Plus apparently providing lavish spreads for journalists.
Throw in the superb football they offer under Guardiola and they've played an absolute blinder in diverting attention away from what's gone on there over the last decade.
But when they're posting financials up there with world powers who have 100s of millions more in a fan base, you have to laugh.
You could say the opposite looking at thousands of cars being stuck on their way down from the north west or half empty grounds but at this point I might have just had enough of losing at Wembley.

Karma will ensure that when we go up the season after next they will be deducted points that season ensuring our survival

Highgate United needed a 12 goal swing to make the playoffs on Thursday night. They beat Bewdley Town……..12-0!
Real mxied feelings with that.

They'll keep until next season.
Having seen Wrexham's goals it's no exaggeration to say that Max is getting no help from his defense.

I wonder if emergency loans cover the play offs?
I’m sure I remember Allsop playing as an emergency keeper on loan in the playoffs for Pompey one year
Really not sure about that sending off
Am I the only one who finds Pep genuinely (and increasingly) unpleasant?
Nice interview!!
What he stands for - winning is worth anything, up to and including supporting a murderous regime - is absolutely unpleasant.

It's an absolute joke they havnt been charged with anything yet
Can't stand the Premier league atm. Would be happy to see half the teams get into trouble and be relegated to league 2

Gateshead are excluded from the NL playoffs over ground grading issues. I feel like that shouldn’t happen in 2024.
What? Isn't their ground quite good?
Ah, it's actually nothing to do with the quality of the ground https://www.thenationalleague.org.uk/national-league-statement-gateshead-football-club-81474
Absolutely not
I defy anyone to look at those Coventry fans today and say the FA Cup semis aren't better at Wembley. Amazing scenes.
And at the other end of the argument I give you…
The Holte End
(but having just seen it on tv you may have a point)

The biggest issue with Wembley for the semi finals is that it's not centrally located.
Can you imaging e.g.
Liverpool v Everton (unlikely I know) and then
Man City v Man Utd or
Newcastle v Sunderland
having to be played at Wembley. It's an unnecessary amount of travel for all the fans involved.

Did anyone see the game? Is this an overreaction by Forest?
