This could be another game with many goals. Fleetwood have no choice but to go for broke and attack. This could mean they play very high up the pitch, are forced to take risks and leave themselves open to counter attacks.

I wouldn't want to try and play a high line against the likes of Fred and Kashket for 90 mins but they don't really have any other choice.
Did I read somewhere that there will be no Extra Time (in either game!), a draw over 2 legs will go straight to penalties? Or did I dream that as well as Friday's result?
What would anyone expect Barton to say. "Well we're out of it now, no point in turning up, may as well hand the return leg to Wycombe & save the expense".
I will only be confident if we score 2 goals on the night, until then, I'm going to carry on chewing my fingernails.
Was trying to push it from my mind yesterday just to get through the day. Getting excited now, have various fellow chairboys on zoom for the match and a cupboard full of Rev James...happy days. Whatever happens it will be a sluggish Tuesday.
On another note does that mean Pete C is keeping the sex dolls and mannequins for himself....?
COYB!!!!!
Exactly right @EwanHoosaami he's being interviewed by the local paper read by the fans. 'I dont know about you but I've given it up as a bad job and told the boys they can do what they want. I dont care...'

You're probably thinking of the National League play-offs.
My surprise was with him saying that they're definitely going to win the game tonight, having promised last week that there was no way that Wycombe could be as prepared for the 1st leg as Fleetwood.
Of course you expect him to talk up their chances, but that's different to guaranteeing that they're going to win. Every manager will do the former.
If Oxford vs Portsmouth goes to extra time and penalties, does anyone know if our match will be delayed? Or will Sky stick it on a different channel? Or will the first few minutes not be broadcast?

Looks like the Pompey Oxford game has been shifted forward half an hour, probably to allow for such a scenario.

I think we'll score as many as they do.
I think richiemu has them down to score six or seven against us.
You'd think Joey would've learned to keep it shut by now.

Must have been a dream! (the Exeter v Col U semi went to extra time remember?)
Away goals don't count double in the event if a draw. Perhaps you got it muddled up with that?
Happy to confirm that Friday's scoreline was not a dream
This thread just made everything real again and now my nerves are shot.
That's all he can possibly do.
We need to start strong and totally kill it with an early goal
Just an attempt by him to get us to have a bit of a go at them I reckon. We'd do well to ignore him

That's football isnt it? We win by three goals in a game where the home team did not have a shot and we're still worried about the home leg!??

If we get through tonight, whose cardboard cutout is going on the pitch?

It's their local paper, they've got nothing to lose and he has to try and motivate his team.
Considering the nature of the game and the pasting we gave them, Barton has been more considered than I expected him to be
Some of us are old enough to remember a game against Coventry City when we were 3-0 down from the first leg
This tie is not over
27 years ago that was!!!!
Bloody hell
GA just needs to remind the players to remember ANR FC.

The Post tipped Fleetwood to win Friday's leg and to win the play-offs outright. Hope he's on the money about tonight.

How can I be this nervous holding a 4-1 lead?

JJ was booked on Friday. If he gets another yellow tonight, would he miss the final (should we make it!)
No, he's only had six this season - so he's safe!
Okay, so it's just the regular totting up and not specific rules relating to the play-offs. Glad to hear it.
