A game we have been looking forward to. A shame that there has bee a question mark over whether or not it takes place next week which put back people making arrangements. Probably it is the size of the home crowd which is the biggest variable.

It looks to me that they will expect to go top - as Portsmouth are not playing - so I will do my usual optimistic prediction and say that they will have their largest crowd of the season so far. If it does happen that the game is called off I will start a new thread with a suitably bitter title

I say 32545 with 557 of us.

Happy predicting.

  • Thanks as always Steve! 28,301 and 488.

  • 32,015 (616 away)

  • Are there any statisticians out there who would know if this could be the biggest crowd that Wycombe have every played in front for a regular season league fixture, ie excluding play off games?

I am not sure if this would be the figure to beat - Manchester City v Wycombe Wanderers at Maine Road, 24 April 1999 - 29,337 was the attendance and 1 -2 the score.

  • 30627 with 501 having made the trip up. We’ll lose 2-0 but play well.

  • We played in front of around 40k at Hillsborough a few years back.

Hurrah I have finally won one of these. Second in a row will be secured by an attendance of 31308 with 581 hardy southerners.

  • 450 sold so far according to the other thread. With no price increase on the day to encourage pre-booking our support is going to be huge.

  • 30943 with 649 Chairboys

  • 704 away supporters in a crowd of 31105

  • 31233 with 805 from wycombe

  • 29600 with 700 Chairboys/girls making all the noise

  • 29999 with 585 with a long trip home

  • 30,305 with 802 Chairboys watch us lose 3-1.

  • 30,206 including 802 away

  • 12 predictions to date:

Average for Total Crowd: 30682 Average for Light Dark Blue Army 649

  • 31750 including 715 Wycombe. 2-1 to Sunderland.

  • 31111 with 777 wandering wanderers

  • 29,229 with 711 wanderers

  • 29997 with 797 of us

  • 30,800, with 812 setting off in the early hours.

  • Can I revise? I can’t recall the rules. I’m well under on travelling support which should be 30927 with 801 roaring on the boys in blue.

  • @Manboobs -Small print allows you to turn opposition fans into Wycombe fans, by leaving the total the same but changing our crowd upwards. I think that is what you want to do ....

  • Good morning all, I've a feeling that 30890 in the Stadium of Light will include 680 Chairfolk. Hope it won't feel like too long a journey home!

  • Thanks @railwaysteve in that case I will go
    31,715 (916 away)

  • 32,890 (824 away)

  • But you have changed the total haven’t you @Onlooker ? (Am I taking this “bit of fun” too seriously or are some us inherently competitive?)

  • Sorry @micra was being thick as usual

I actually wanted to up us and the total by 300 but I will happily keep tbe total unchanged and convert 300 of it to us.

  • Plus myself and my 5 year old from South Shields. We’re Ipswich fans, I grew up in Felixstowe, went to school with Matt Bloomfield, so had to make the effort to come along really!

Be a pleasure to watch your boys, and hopefully see you best Sunderland!
