This should really be a no brainer. There is absolutely no reason why alcohol should be banned from football matches.
The current half-time rules do indeed encourage binge and quicker drinking and are far more unsafe to the public than if alcohol was on sale the whole time and in view of the pitch.
And there might even be a welcome increase in vocal support from the seemingly sedated Beechdean stand. The Frank Adams stand has already become noisier since so many families have been able to “upgrade” following the introduction of more favourable ticket prices/free entry for the younger folk.
