He destroyed the league when with us first time round, yet didn't get any international recognition. I remember that game at Stamford Bridge as being one of the toughest games I ever saw Ashley Cole face.
When he returned, he was much less of a player, yet then got called up.
Ironically, the call up pretty much ruined his first team status, as he barely got a look in after, and was shipped off mid season
(If I remember all this correctly!)
@Malone If I remember rightly, he didn't make himself available for the Seychelles during his first spell, but did during his second.
Second time around, it didn't help that for most of that spell he was played on the left. Got a fair amount of stick from a few 'supporters' towards the end of his time. Him and Joel Grant were the favourite whipping boys.

He did actually cross my mind earlier. Before my time, but I know the name. Didn't realise he ever got an England call-up.
Presumably also the only ex-Wanderer to win the European Cup?
Cheers Dev, love a Chairboys quiz!
I'm so sh*t at clues I was even thinking for a moment that maybe a young Nick Bar(m)by may have played for the youth team or something.
Then I misread @DevC saying he had one in the loft. Oh dear, I need a lie down.
By the way, @Jonny_King - does Paul "show us your medals" Lambert count as an ex-Wanderer?
(or St Martin, for that matter...)
@LeedsBlue I hadn't considered managers. I guess you could count them.
@Jonny_King it was the "ex-Wanderer" terminology which left the door slightly ajar...
Pierre played in World Cup qualifiers
Should have scrolled down before posting!
I think the club has a board with the names of all the Wycombe players who have made international appearances while playing for Wycombe.
