  • Jermaine Jenas can barely go 5 words without liberally sprinkling everything he says with "to be honest with you".

    Which suggests the other 5 words were lies.

    That was an excellent programme, Mr Peart. Nice to see Phil Mealey and Craig Cash will (I presume) make a few bob from the live shows.

  • @Buzz, yes, the cast, the plot lines, the one liners, everything about it was perfect. That permanent smoke fug in the pub, those were the days!

  • Not so much a phrase but commentators' seemingly inability to distinguish a yard from a foot.

  • Commentators saying “by the way” when they feel like they’re making an important point. Lawro and Nevin are the worst offenders.
