Regardless of what division we're in next season, I think GA is at a point where he will want to gently evolve his squad, rather than have huge number of departures/arrivals which can disrupt a settled squad.
The only player/s clearly surplus to requirements is WDH and probably Müller - although it's really not clear what's going on there. The little I've seen of Müller I've mostly liked and he seems to be doing alright at Morecambe. With WDH gone and Scarr and McGinley returning to their parent clubs, perhaps he'll get another year to prove himself, but he doesn't seem to be in Ainsworth's plans.
New contracts for Jacobsen, Bayo, Tyson and CMS is a no-brainer. Assuming there are no serious fitness issues, I expect Saunders to still be here next season too. I'd definitely give Bloomfield another year, but I wonder if he'd be reluctant to accept a player/coach role just yet, as he may feel it would be settling for not playing much. I think he'll want to focus 100% on playing for as long as possible.
Some people have said Bean was close to retiring last summer, but I've also heard, from a pretty good source, that he was all set to join Barnet until a last minute change. Whichever is true, I feel he's unlikely to still be a Wycombe player next season, whether he retires or goes elsewhere.
I'd be perfectly happy to have Brown and Jombati in our squad next season, but it perhaps depends on who GA can get in over the summer. Sido is great, but if, say, we were able to get Tafari Moore on a permanent deal, then there'd be no point in keeping him. Similarly, Brown is a decent keeper, but if we bring in a new first choice, it would probably be beneficial to both parties to let him go elsewhere.
@rmjlondon JCR was only at Barnet one and a half seasons and made 58 appearances in that time, scoring 11 times. I'd say that's perfectly respectable and a good goal return for a midfielder.

I'm with Richie on this. That interview with Brown in the Cheltenham local paper read to me like he expects to be back there next season. Dan Scarr is clearly surplus to Birmingham requirements and doesn't look to me like he'll ever be Championship standard. I can see him coming to us, whether or not we go up. I'd like to hope Saunders stays, he's a luxury player but now we're playing the ball on the ground a bit more he's coming into his own. He won't ever play a full season again but is such a great option to have when available, especially alongside O'Nien and Gape.
I'm also in the extend-CMS's-contract-now camp but realistically no player is going to sign anything with us until they know what division we're in next season. If we go up, expect them all to ask for commensurately higher wages. And knowing how many players are out of contract, it really gives them the whip hand when renegotiating deals. As with Bean with Barnet (a rumour I hadn't heard but is entirely believable) none of our players will be without suitors - except maybe WDH and Bloomfield. They can afford to wait until the right offer is made by WWFC before signing on again.
It makes me want to enjoy the magic of this season even more, as no matter what happens regarding promotion, it is always a case of "things will never be the same again". This Wycombe team appears to have one of the best team spirits I have seen in any sport.
Have posted about it a couple of times on other threads, but yes, that Brown interview certainly suggests there'd be no point putting a bet on him going to Cheltenham!
He just about got a comment in about being "happy" to come back to Wycombe, but the rest was almost like a PR drive for rejoining.
I was sceptical about Brown at the start of the season. I still think that the loss of height at centre back (through Pierre leaving) combined with Brown’s reluctance to take crosses has led to us being a little weak defending crosses.
However, his shot stopping has proved to be quite superb and has earned us plenty of points this season.
Likewise, although El Abd isn’t the strongest defending balls intro the box he does seem to lead the team well and does a good job of defending around the box and pressing high up when strikers drop off into space. That often helps us win the ball back high up the field.
I’d like to see both Bean and Bloomfield stay if possible. Both underrated in my opinion. I thought Saunders would be crucial for us this season. His ability to keep us in good, clean possession is very valuable but he probably hasn’t been fit often enough to justify a new deal.
Otherwise I think the contract offer/release decision on other players is quite straightforward.
I’d like to see Paris given a long term deal. Despite his injury history, if he keeps playing as he is I could see interest from other clubs resurfacing again over the next year.
Brown and El Abd have proven to be decent players at our level but have both suffered in comparison with the players who have played their positions in recent years. Goes to show how lucky we have been in both areas if these are two players losing out in the comparisons.
Both will do absolutely fine next season whatever league we are in but I wouldn't be complaining if they weren't kept on either.
I don't think we have missed either, Eze was a luxury player where as now were all action in the midfield area whoever plays and its gonna get us promoted if we can negotiate past our bogey team on Saturday and take 3 points on tuesday.
Not sure what your definition of a luxury player is Richie but I’m pretty sure few people would describe Eze as a luxury player at our level.
On Campbell-Ryce, you’re as wrong as you’ve ever been about anything. Carlisle were totally under the cosh until Keith Curle brought him on at the start of the second half. Pretty well everything went through him and we know what an impact he made as they turned the tables on us. Can’t blame him for our stoppage time goals.

So a loss on Saturday and a point on Tuesday and we can break out the bubbly then

Soccerbase - a lot more reliable than Wikipedia!
Brown will go back to Cheltenham next season regardless along as Gary Johnson is incharge. I would expect us to try and sign Dan Scarr.
If Richie says he's shite, then he is shite, that's the rules!
True. It's not like you can look back and point out where he has been wrong in the past or anything eh @mooneyman ?
End of.

On a different note, it is testament to our midfield that this current streak has occurred mostly without the creativity of Eze or Sam!

@micra that’s a bold statement! An awfully congested area that
