You obviously haven't seen us play, but you never know!
I hope you take the league as Plymouth seem to believe that we're responsible for everything from Shergar's disappearance to the Israel / Palestine conflict. Please feel free to donate a few points our way beforehand.
@thevicar We were made to feel very welcome when we played Doncaster on 29th October. Thank you for your hospitality, courtesy and respect. The complete opposite to how we are customarily treated at Plymouth and Portsmouth. So Donny for the League title for me, too (after Saturday of course). Good luck next season.
Thanks lads i hope to be there to see it but if I don't make it enjoy but not to much lol. Ps we are a family club a pub team having a laugh all are welcome at donny, we like to look after everyone
We also have pub team qualities. Specifically, some of our fans like to team up against the players at the nearest pub. Our players have shown they are willing to take care of them recently, too.

@HCBlue I think you're mixing him up with Williams Coppinger Butler...I believe Coppinger Williams Butler or 'Old Copper Butts' led the Queens Fourth Horse at the Charge of the Light Brigade.
@Wendoverman You are quite right about my mistake but I fear you are confusing him with Coppinger Butler Williams, his cousin, who did indeed lead the Fourth to glory.
I now recall that Coppinger Williams Butler is known to history as the Victorian Age's most noted sociological innovator, responsible for the predecessors of and inspiration for the later Peelers, the "Copps", as they were, and should still properly be, known. Further, it was he who changed the British tradition of uniquely female staff by being the first to employ a male servant to be in charge of leading the domestic team.
As with many original minds, he was quite a philanderer too, apparently. It is said that he died in Soho in 1887, aged 91, of a heart attack whilst engaged in committed Ugandan discussions with a lady of ill virtue. It is from this noted episode that we, of course, now have the expression "Copped off".
We've held back deliberately to ensure that we avoid automatic promotion. We specialise in brinkmanship- make a bit of cash by getting to the playoff final then breathing sighs of relief that we've narrowly missed out on promotion because we're not good enough for League 1. Enjoy your visit and don't take it too badly when we win our first home game since 4 February!

Very jovial just let's all enjoy the day pity we can't both get 3 points lol
@thevicar You're already up...you don't NEED to be Champions really, do you?
Yes you get money for going up as champions you get nothing for second plus it's a nicer feeling

@thevicar Could we maybe just borrow the points for a bit at least?
Lol when would we get then back
Some time between the playoff places being decided and the money being paid out to the league leaders. Win, win.
Play off teams make more than the top 3 with 2 leg semi final then final
Well you've blown that option, I'm afraid.
I know sooner be where we are
