  • Club now saying PCH and Weston due to be out for another 4 weeks. Without them we badly lack pace in attack, which is obviosuly hampering us badly.

Nonetheless, it is deeply frustrating that in their absence we don't seem to be able to find anything resembling a decent attacking strategy. We have to try and get Wood and Harriman into more advanced positions, rather than crossing from the halfway line all the time. Rowe and Bean should be able to supply adequate cover if they're caught too high up the pitch.

  • Wood shouldn't even be allowed to play for a team on The Rye on a Sunday morning.

  • Akinfenwa is no sprinter, but in the games I've seen he's had the best first touch in the team, excellent passer and gets almost every ball fired at him...he's also the target of a lot of holding and pulling, but is never going to get a decision because of his size. Of all the players we have...he's the least of my worries.

  • @Glenactico . The problem with JJ out for 3months, is that Harriman will probably be stuck at right back for the foreseeable.

There are other options like Wood at left back (thus keeping Jombati right back), Rowe, De Havilland, Bean?, but Harriman seems the obvious choice.

Right mid then becomes a problem, unless we go for a dodgy narrow 4.

  • Wood at left back, your having a laugh!

  • Wood should go left back, giving him a new task might refresh him. Freeman can go left wing.
