It's a stark reminder of the development curve of a footballer. Some just plateau and either don't develop physically or can't be coached any more. We have had our quota of 'next big thing' to 'I can't recall his name'.
Sam Grace gave the example of Jack Matton who thanks to his physical presence has always enjoyed an advantage in the teams he has played against. His playing style therefore has evolved around that no doubt. So they sent him off to Bracknell to play against bigger players to learn more apart from thinking I'm taller I can smash this. Admiral no doubt would have been one of the quickest players in his peer group. Until he wasn't. Then he has to learn a whole new game.

Lol, seems to be catching.
I thought a couple of our boys must have the smallest ones ever. But apparently the rule is to wear them, with no size specified.
Amazingly Lineker said he always wore tiny bits of plastic, in an era defenders could absolutely smash you.
I get that you can sprint faster without those cumbersome wads we used to wear, but you need some protection surely?!
Al-Hamadi comes on against Manchester United.
81st minute.
Kaikai scores late equalizer for Cambridge v Bolton. Cheers Sulai!

Yeah, the link works
Luke O'Nien just turned 30 years old, and has played for Sunderland 283 times since his 119 appearances for us.
I feel old.
That does feel mad. He's had injury spells too, so must have been there 6 or more years?
Exactly right - Sunderland grabbed him in the summer of 2018 after our promotion from L2, so O'Nien never played for us in L1.
Also played for Wealdstone before signing for us.
Actually, and this is a weird shout, but I think he may have played both his first and last games for us in preseason games against them.
Anis Mehmeti has scored for Bristol City who lead Plymouth 2-0,today could be the of Rooney's time as Plymouth manager.
Another goal for Anis it's now 3-0.
Now got 2 and one assist.
Ah, Mehmeti braces in 3-0s against Plymouth...I'm all nostalgic now!
Would be interesting to know what our percentage sell on clause is. I can't see him being at Bristol long if he keeps improving.
What a night that was. One of our very best performances
Great strike from Morias for Dagenham
They’ve looked pretty decent for spells and certainly aren’t looking like a team struggling in the bottom half of the National League.
Luca Woodhouse booked for time wasting.
Ben Strevens' team are in the FA Cup Third Round
Dion Dublin is doing the 3rd round draw
Admiral Muskwe has signed a short-term deal with Harrogate Town.
I'm a little amazed he fell all the way to L2 level - he was very good for us at the end of the Champo season.
So many of those Championship players have gone to L2 or below, some struggling to find a club at all.
It really does show how much we overachieved.
