That feels like a bizarre signing from them. I’d imagine he’d be an impact sub option. Or they’re seeing something everyone’s been missing in the last few years.
Every game he came on as sub he made an impact, every game he started he didn't seem to. Clearly the management saw something they didn't like or trust in him. I would imagine he was not a low wage player too which made his signing even more frustrating.
Maybe one who lacked a clear position or some of the right attributes. Classy first touch and big so people thought he'd be a great centre forward but not outstandingly fast and almost never scored goals. Funny how some people click at a certain age and work out what they need to do to have a long career and others don't. Not sure he was particularly lazy although he didn't take well to (hard working) old men being brought in ahead of him.
He had 2 incredible performances against Plymouth in the play-offs. He was deadly and they couldn't deal with him. Then in a 1 on 1 in the final fluffed his lines completely.
I recall when he joined Oldham and made his debut their fans were posting 'oh my god I can't believe we have signed him, amazing' And then his career petered out quite quickly.
It's sometimes a mental thing. It's sometimes a love of the game thing.
Muller hardly played for us at all, was hyped for where he'd been before despite arriving injured but looking at the stats he'd barely played their either.
With the exception of Nigel Gray , Steve Wicks and Distribution Dave Winfield, I can think of any centre back that had a slower turning circle that Max Muller.
I remember Max being here...but cannot comment on his play as I'm not sure I ever saw him 'on the grass'.
(I mean I must have done...but you know...)
Holloway was an enigma certainly. I often thought that often if GA and Dobbo could not get anything out of a player, they very rarely went on to shine elsewhere.

Don’t think this has been posted (other than in the FB group where I nicked it from), but Kaikai is having a trial at Rotherham:

Hope he gets a decent run somewhere (and a fanbase that can spell his name), rather than being shunted around like he has been of late.

I'd love him back here, I think he'd excel in Matt's new world...
Sorry, @Commoner. Kaikai or Ccurtis?

Luke Bolton in shock £400k move to Barnsley from Salford!
Funnily enough I think it was away at Barnsley he gave away a penalty and then got subbed off with a bad head injury.
Sullay Kaikai
Aaron Amadi Hollaway has joined Chippenham Town.
His 14th club!
If Holloways desire and workmate could have matched his undoubted talent, then I'm sure he would have had a longer career higher up the leagues.

It's a toss up between Holloway and Muller who ended up being the biggest damp squib.
Both we had to wait about 6months for while we got them injury proofed and strengthened.
Muller was never helped by Hayes' "can't believe we've got him" hype. He was always struggling from that point.
AAH more disappointing as he looked great on occasion, whereas Müller never looked comfortable or capable.

In all fairness was that a written statement? It could be read in two different ways.
Mark Foran?

Out of interest, can anyone think of one who did?

Of course @StrongestTeam
There was no misreading the sentiment. It was very much the "he's amazing" sentiment.
You are not wrong their Mr Twin.
Mind you Tafazoli is not the quickest on the Turn.
El-Abd was pedestrian, but he made up for it with his football brain.
Hibs well beaten by Bournemouth in a pre season in Spain. Hibs fielded 21 players in total, no sign of Obita, injured?
One... for some reason I never warmed to
