Bootham Crescent
Saturday sees possibly the last ever Visit to Bootham Crescent the fine and very traditional home of York City. Many wont like it as its very Old school, but I love it. A rare chance to stand on the same terrace I stood on way back In Jan 86 in our great cup run of that year. Looks like City will be going out of the league now being 10 points adrift. But also as you may know this is destined to be probably the last season at the ground, with a move to a horrible looking identikit community stadium shared with York Knights Rugby club. I hope some of you who have never been to Bootham Crescent take the opportunity this one last time.

Will be doing the usual drinking haunts starting in the fine York tap from midday.

I hope to go for one of my rare games
My first Wycombe away game, that one in Jan 86. Not able to make it this year, but went last year. I don't think the away terrace had changed one bit - including those legendary toilets!
@M3G any further recommendations on pubs
@Onlooker Superb that one. Still have my original BFP with that pic and rest. Including the one with me and my lot playing cards!
@Wycombelad To be honest I have put a few up in the past for York but you really are spoilt for choice in this fine City. But you wont go far wrong if you check out any of these ones. Its the best drink of the season by a country mile! My natural walk from the station will start at The York Tap, the The Maltings etc, etc. Wonderful.

I will defiantly be going here as Ossett Big Red is probably my favorite beer this year.

Just a warning to anyone travelling by train from London. Looks like we'll lose 20 minutes drinking time as there appears to be a diversion for engineering work
Any votes for an "Away day pubs" category on this forum so that we can always find recommendations for away games?

Yeah hopefully Eddie Monsoon will post his pub guide 18 years in the making
@Onlooker Great photo! Right up there with that supporters team photo from 1986 that was posted on here in February!
@peterparrotface Eddie would never publicise his favourite watering holes lest the riff raff come and spit in the hallowed sawdust of his preferred boozers!
