Will be very interested to check out this Irvine chap next Thursday, has an 'interesting' back story in Australia & his time at Notts County was very brief. I am led to believe that he was a shoe in for the commercial job (the advertised post being a hr nicety). Of course want him to generate the necessary revenue, just hope he isn't a 'Hector' hench-man, certainly looks the part.
It will be interesting as other more than qualified candidates weren't even contacted for interview having applied and actively chased the role. Seems Irvine was the chosen man from very early on.
