I know not a lot of people like xG, but the fact Bolton's was 0.17 means that there was nothing unlucky about them failing to score. It means they parked two double decker buses and an aircraft carrier.

For all the jokes about losing everyone, I think that is a disadvantage over bigger clubs in our division - in other words, if we don't go up, there will definitely be clubs in for some of our talent, whereas if we were a bigger club, we have a better chance of them staying. So even though it's not like completely reinventing the wheel every season, it creates a competitive disadvantage every summer. Even just losing Kone and Low in the summer would make next season feel very different.

This is exactly it. Nothing wrong in thinking GA will keep them up, but equally it is not disrespecting his ancestors to think turning around a mess might be difficult.

Also, thinking he won't keep them up is different to not wanting him to keep them up. I want him to keep them up, I just don't think he will. I'd be delighted to be wrong!

Some fans have been fair to us - Stockport is an unsurprising one, but Lincoln fans seemed to be pretty fair overall too, despite that scoreline being close. Most other supporters have played the 'Wycombe were awful, we made them look better than they are' card though.

Nearly all of our wins this season have been followed by 'Wycombe aren't all that...they won't be troubling the top of the table...' from fans. And remember the referee gives us everything and them nothing. 😉
