Re: The State of Play...
I think where we are after the Wrexham game will be key. If we can get a few wins over the next few weeks feel like that momentum could see us through for the run in.
On paper at the minute we’ve got a tough end of season, and I’m especially wary looking at the final 4 game we have.
However, by the time we get to the Bolton, Charlton, Orient, Stockport games, depending on how things go for them the next couple of months, their is a chance any of those teams might not have a lot to play for (either already in or out of the playoffs etc).
I think the classic, taking one game at a time applies here!
Re: The State of Play...
Leaning towards the play-offs. Can’t see any sign that we’ll be replicating our scintillating early season form. Although our rivals aren’t exactly pulling up trees either.
There seems to be an air of confusion around the club at the moment, which doesn’t fill me with a lot of confidence.
Re: James Berry signs
Just the inevitable situation you get when one geezer buys the players, and another geezer has to pick what he sees as the best squad.
Not good if the high priced signings aren't seen as being in the best 18!

Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
Yep, not to mention the changing rules, meaning we can spend bigger now, then we'd be able to next season, whatever division we're in.
It seems absolute genius making signings now. The only strange thing is how the bigger signings seem to not be ready / aren't fancied right now. But give it a month and they might all be game changers.

Re: The definitive ex-player news thread
The similarities between this move and Ainsworth’s move to QPR are obvious I guess. If he can keep them up I reckon he will make a go of it. But at this rate he won’t get the chance. They are terrible.
Re: Match Day Thread: Wigan
After the game yesterday, I saw one of the lighting rigs being pushed round to the valley end, model SGL LED50 to be precise! More details here if, like me, you find their technology interesting: https://sglsystem.com/products/led-grow-lighting/led50-grow-lighting/
I mention it because the poor state of the pitch at Reading was a topic after their Brum game, with Royals coach Noel Hunt explaining that the club can't afford the £1200-£1400 to leave them on overnight.
Re: James Berry signs
I had a knowledgeable football friend tell me once that if you recruited five players - one would turn out to be better than hoped, one would be somewhat worse than you hoped and three would perform at the level you hoped.
It's too early to say quite how our January signings will turn out but I doubt it will be far off that appraisal after 12 months.
What's probably true is they won't all be as successful as we hoped, but we need to give them a chance.

Re: Other Football
Luton have only won once in their last 26 away games, so it's clearly not all on MB. But it's looking really grim ...

Re: James Berry signs
Lubala isn’t offering much at all wide left, especially when compared with what Sadlier was doing this time last year.
Hopefully Berry gets a chance soon.

Re: The Wanderer - New issue out tomorrow!
Hi @username123. Essentially, what @StrongestTeam says. The best option is to join WWISC and get them posted out to you (which off the top of my head is, I think, an extra £10 to cover the p&p).
