Re: Caleb Taylor recalled
Low has to stay now, even if it means we lose him for nothing at end of the season. What a great pairing him and Caleb have been
Re: Match Day Thread: Exeter
That's rubbish and classless from the official account. I thought we'd be above that but there you go.
Re: Rumour Mill
If there's a need to make clear that something is an opinion, I'll do it, but I don't think there was there.
Re: Match Day Thread: Exeter
This season in L1: most touches in opposition box - 1. Wycombe Wanderers (571), 2. Birmingham City (565), 3. Stockport County (551). Most pens: =1 Wycombe Wanderers (6), =1 Birmingham City (6), =3 Stockport County (4).
Least touches: 24. Burton Albion (306), 18. Wigan Athletic (413), =16 Exeter City (448). Least pens: Burton, Wigan, Exeter all with 0.
So no, it doesn't work exactly right, the broader picture is indeed more touches = more pens. Unless half a season is too small a sample size?
Re: Caleb Taylor recalled
Good luck to Caleb who has been brilliant for us.
Hope to see him back in a Wycombe shirt before too long.
Re: Rumour Mill
But you're right in that tone can be misconstrued in writing. I'm definitely not going out of my way to wind anyone up (ok, maybe a little with the cheeky 'Bloomfield to...' threads 😉).
Re: Rumour Mill
Here are CBs who have recently played a half season for us:
- Richard Keogh
- Nigel Lonwijk
- Caleb Taylor
At that rate of improvement, I am expecting a high speed octopus who is allowed to tackle with four of it's tentacles.
Re: Caleb Taylor recalled
You would have thought that with all the reliance on data the club seems to be basing all its decisions on, we surely would have factored in the possibility of Morley and Taylor going back to their parent clubs in January and what we needed to do to cover that possibility. So I would have thought we must have things in place. I hope replacements are in quickly as we have a lot of games in January. We are in an amazing position in the league and it’s an opportunity we cannot afford to miss. Interesting Bloomfield mention Dan Rice has been doing a lot of work behind the scenes. Perhaps he’s the new Scott Mitchell as well as other roles he has within the club.
